We got these to do chores in the winter and not go through so many batteries. They have impressed our whole family.Pros:First they are very light to carry around, so it make it much easier for our younger children to carry them and feel like they are really helping. Second they are very bright and we only have to hang one up for our 10x20 milking area and it's plenty of light. Third they hold up to cold weather really well. -35C with a wind chill of -45C and they didn't even flinch in their light shining, they did not freeze up or flicker.Cons:the only Con is that they do need charging more frequently after spending an hour or two out in the cold. Instead of charging every 7-8 days in normal winter weather (-10C to -15C) they have to be charged every 3-4 days. But because they work so well I don't feel it's much of a Con.

This review is for Lepro LE Lighting EVER 1000LM LED Camping Rechargeable Lantern, 4400mAh Power Bank, with 4 Light Modes & IP44 Waterproof ratingCAVEAT OF THIS REVIEW• I’ve had this lamp only for 8 days, so I cannot comment on its longevity or for how long it will store/hold a full charge while in storage (not being used). The manual states that if the lamp is not in use, it should be charged at least once every 3 months. So based on this information, in theory, it “could” store a full charge for 3 months. I have tested the power storage of this lamp for 5 days (I have fully charged the lamp, let it sit not plugged into electricity for 5 days and then turned it on at Max light output, which it provided for 6 hours).• The primary purpose of this lantern for our household is to provide emergency lighting in the house when power is out. It will NOT be used for camping and as such, external environmental conditions, inclusive of water proof testing, will not play a role in our case.GENERAL INFO• Lepro LE 1000 Lumens Rechargeable Lantern does not provide for usage of regular replaceable batteries. It can be used ONLY as a Rechargeable lantern utilizing internally installed and normally (unless you are a DIY person) not replaceable rechargeable battery.• The lamp is pretty small in size (3.74 x 3.46 x 7.24 inches )PROS• Lepro LE Rechargeable Lantern, once fully charged, is very bright on Max Lumens setting – therefore it is a usable lamp that can easily light-up a 12x12 room• There are 4 different light settings, inclusive of 3000K color temperature, which is a very warm color. This is a great option to have, as 6000K is a very cool (temperature) light. However, be aware that 3000K will not be at all as bright as 6000K.• Once fully charged, Lepro LE Rechargeable Lantern will provide light at Maximum Lumen output for 6 full hours. Over the course of 6 hours the output will dim slightly, but it is still fully usable/functional for the entire 6 hours. While this might not seem like a lot of hours, compared to most of the similar products/lights being offered by various other companies, this is actually a lot, as most of the advertised numbers by other manufacturers are completely false and are a marketing gimmick.• The lamp light can be steplessly dimmed in each of 3 lighting modes (it cannot be dimmed in the flashing light mode). This is an excellent option, as the light at Max setting can actually be too bright based on viewing circumstances/requirements. In addition, if the light output is dimmed, the hours of available light will be extended (I have not tested for how long, as MAX light output was my primary concern).• Lepro LE Rechargeable Lantern can be fully used if plugged in/while being charged. So it can function as a “regular” lamp, not just as an emergency lamp.• The lamp diffuser is detachable and thus provides for a different type of lighting – a more direct/narrow beam of light and can be essentially used as a flashlight (vs a lantern).• In addition to the handle, the lantern has an integrated hook/hanger on the bottom – so there are two ways of hanging the lamp.• The lamp is very light, made of fairly durable plastic (so no glass to break) and has soft rubberized areas to protect the lamp and not let it slide on a surface.• Lepro LE Rechargeable Lantern can be used as a Power Bank to charge your other portable devices (e.g. phone, tablet, etc.). This is provided via a USB-A port.• Micro USB to USB-A cable is provided to be used for charging this lamp (the charger block itself is NOT provided).• Lepro LE Rechargeable Lantern has a charging LED that lights up Red while being charged and Green when charging is complete.CONS• It takes a full 8 hrs (and possibly a bit more) to fully charge the lamp from empty. So from the efficiency perspective, it is very poor – 8 hrs to charge and 6 hours to discharge (at Max Light Output).• You cannot use a fast charger for this lamp – it will not work (or worse, damage the battery), so you are stuck with slow charging.• The lamp does not have a USB-C connector. Most of the current modern portable devices use USB-C. So this lamp is stuck with old technology from the charging perspective.• I tested using this lamp (the lamp was fully charged before the test) as a Power Bank by charging my iPhone 15 Pro from 30% to 90%. It took 3-4 hours to complete this charge (the phone was being slow-charged, since the lamp is using USB-A, rated at 5V, 1A) and basically the lamp was completely drained. And of course I had to have a USB-A to USB-C cable. It took almost the entire 8 hours to fully recharge the lamp. So using this lamp in the emergency as a source of light AND a power bank is highly questionable, as one or the other (light emission or charging your device) is going to suffer.• Using Lepro LE Rechargeable Lantern at Max lumens output, after about 6 hrs, it abruptly shuts down – it does not continuously dim as it loses the charge, it just shuts down.IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTIONS FOR THE MANUFACTURER• Increase efficiency of the lamp by redesigning for fast charging capability (e.g. fully charge in 30 min to 1 hr)• Change ports from Micro USB & USB-A to USB-C• Increase rechargeable battery capacity – at least double it ( or a TRUE 10,000 mAH) – for proper lamp usage as a Power Bank

You can not literally look at it , it is so bright. For a medium room is more than enough in case of emergency.

Very nice lantern. Use it for camping, emergencies and lighting darker areas like under a cabinet when working under a sink. I like how it has different colors, very bright and softer bright, plus a dimmer. Light up a larger area to a picnic table and not be blinded. Small in size for tight places but plenty of light for larger areas. The batteries will last all night and then some on a single charge. The only con is having to charge it every 3 months, BUT with the newer type of batteries this is going to be a must with all of them. Batteries do not recharge properly when fully discharged. Plus what good is it in an emergency when the battery is dead. Set a reminder in your phone to charge it every 3 months and plug it in and go to bed. It's not THAT hard to do.

I have tried many rechargeable lanterns before buying this one. All the others were not worth their claim for higher than 1000 lumens for a higher a price. I tried a 2500 lumen, 1800 lumen and a 1500 lumen lantern, all that cost way more than this and returned them all.I didn't expect much out of this lantern when I saw the size of it, but holy crap this thing is bright. The first setting I was like good lord that's bright. The second setting was a yellow light, I guess it's softer for your eyes, but the third setting is both lights and I swear it, but don't look at the lens. It's super bright. There is a strobe light that is for emergencies but either the first or third setting will be my go to. Pros: 1. Super bright and way cheaper than other lanterns that claim to have higher lumens.2. Really light weight and small size.3. Handle on the top and bottom makes it easier to hang on different objects.4. Feels well builtCons: 1. It charges using a Micro USB cable. I really wished it used a type C instead.2. Charging seems to take a long time.3. No battery indicator. I really wish there was a way to tell how much battery is remaining.4. Battery life is shorter than other lanterns I tried, but I was using this lantern at max brightness. Adjust the dimmer on the light settings and you will have plenty of battery left for a weekend camping trip. Conclusion: If you want a amazing camping lantern that is more than plenty bright, I highly recommend this. It's small size, long lasting battery if you dim the light down will be plenty for your camping trips. You are able to use it as a battery pack to charge your other devices, but let's face it, you go camping to get away. In a emergency that is a option at the cost of lowering the amount of time you have in a light.

While I've stayed in cabin, I can't say that I've been camping in the traditional sense. However, I bought these lanterns for emergency purposes. [The backup to a larger pair of lanterns from a different company and different store.]Quality Characteristics:~Multiple Light Settings [One can control the bright quality of the light.]~Compact and Light [This is a small lantern that isn't heavy duty in any way.]~Re-Charge Capable [I believe these charge via USB and the charge lasts.]While I realize traditional USB isn't exactly the latest and greatest, it seems like it's here to stay alongside updates like USB-C use devices...[So, be prepared for this. Especially, if you have the latest and greatest technology in your home.]So far, these are worth the extra investment and helped immensely. One day, our power went out and these worked easily [directly from the box.] Our power went out for the whole evening and these worked for the whole evening and beyond.

I wanted a well built, quality, very bright light source to use during the occasional power failures that occur in my area. After looking at various options & reading the reviews I decided to go for this particular one (it had excellent reviews) and I have not been disappointed. It does an excellent job in providing a very bright light, which will allow me to do things like continue cooking if the power goes out, I haven't tested to see how long the battery lasts on the various settings, but others have & based on that those results this lamp serves my purpose & being rechargeable it avoids having to have a supply of batteries sitting around for months at a time without being used.
