These are THE way to change from old incandescent light to LED. I have 30 yr old can lights in my LR ceiling. I pulled the fixture off (leave the can in place) screw one of these into the socket, plug in the new light fixture and, presto !!! you are in the 21st century!!! Yeah, I really like these.

Original sockets and bulbs were fried. Replacement was easy with new quality sockets and bulbs. Wire connectors included.

I needed to replace both DRL sockets on the 06 Yukon. These were a perfect replacement. Side note, you DO NOT need to cut the wires and splice. Remove the black rubber washer and push in the tabs on both sides of the socket and the inside of the socket can be removed. One removed the wires will come right out. You can then do the same with the new socket and push in the existing wires all the way in. Then put in the middle piece that holds the bulb, that piece holds the wires in.

The description says these work as a replacement for turn signal and brake lights but they DON’T at least on a ‘01 Chevy Tahoe. I believe these are ONLY GOOD for replacing the DRL bulb sockets on this truck.I tried to replace the rear turn signal bulb sockets but the alignment tabs don’t match, see pictures. Also they won’t work for the brake light bulb housing because that requires a 3 wire bulb housing and this is a 2 wire bulb housing.Disclaimer: Don’t try this at home.I figured out though that if you modify the longest alignment tab by carefully removing half of it or slightly more with a sharp utility knife then cut off the stop on the top that won’t let you rotate it then they work great as a replacement for the reverse /backup bulb housing.The terminals or contacts inside this bulb housing are exactly the same as the original backup bulb housing and to wire it correctly the negative or ground wire goes to the wire that has 2 contacts inside the housing and the positive wire only has one contact inside the housing, I verified this with the original housing.
