This lab grade scale works well, and was accurate in my testing. It comes with the scale, a weigh table, power supply, and 500g calibration weight. The wind cover is glass, and opens on two sides and the top, sliding open rather than swinging open. They don't slide as easily as desired, they open easily, but a little wriggling might be needed to close them. This could be annoying when taking sensitive measurements. It has single point and two point calibration processes, and you can bring your own weights if you desire a higher level of calibration. It also has a counting feature, so you can place ten items on the scale and have it take a measurement, and as long as part to part variation is under 5% then it will accurately count - great for pills or tiny screws. The bottom is metal, so once brought up to temperature (manual suggests 2 hours) it should be very stable. There is one rubber foot in the front and two adjustable feet in the back, with the adjustment available from the side bottom so you don't need to lift it up to adjust it. There's a bubble level inside the case so making sure the scale is level is quick and easy. The power switch in the back right disconnects power completely, while the power button up front turns the display on or off, so in high usage scenarios you can leave the unit on, maintaining its calibration and temperature, and just turn the display on or off to indicate whether its in use or not, without having to wait 2 hours for temperature and electronic stablization. The RS-232 port is a standard male DB-9, and connects to any standard serial port or USB to serial converter. The speed is adjustable via front panel from 1200bps to 38400bps, and the operating mode can be changed there as well - either single point weight request, or continuous stream of weights. Each weight is sent as a decimal (text) value with units, and the format is given in the manual. It doesn't indicate how measurements are requested in the request mode.Overall it's a nice lab scale, and flexible enough for many uses.

This scale is big and heavy. It feels made like its made of really good build quality and materials. For my use, it might be a little overkill. with the cage around the top. But it is accurate and easy to use. I will say the only negative I have for it , is the price. To me, this might be worth it at half the price.

This is a very fancy, sophisticated scientific scale. Seems to be quite. Accurate. I was only able to weigh the Calibration weight. With extreme accuracy. But I was also able to weigh some household items. And it is extremely accurate.

I used this scale not in the lab, but for my home project, and it works as expected. It's really very accurate and can measure to thousandths of a gram. So, per my experience, this scale is of good quality. It's simple to use with big digital display and standard controls. The RS232C interface is standard in the industry, and I know that people who need it know how to work with it.It has a competitive price for the features and for the weight it can operate with.

Does what it claims mainly being accurate to .001g. The glass doors feel cheap, but it does keep air out for accurate reading after settling down. Haven't tried the RS232 interface, but it's 2025 please get a usb port. I had no problems using it. Calibration is straight forward and balance easy to achieve (3 stands and a tiny balance meter). They have achieved a decent budget precision scale.

I have used scientific scales much in my life & I'm used to the sensitivities & requirements of operation so this was not a new adventure for me to acquire. I currently use a digital kitchen scale & I also use it when mixing CBeD oil. I have always wondered about the accuracy of my little cheaper scale when attempting to portion out 3g-9g powder to mix. I got this scale and thought I would catch huge errors in my smaller/cheap scale, but no - it apparently performs just fine. This scale is really for discerning to .5g or lower. I can't speak to the accuracy of .01 +/- , but if you are looking to simply measure to within +/- .5g it appears that the smaller cheaper versions work just fine. It has 3 sliding glass doors (top/left/right), it also has a bubble level in the far left back corner. The 500g calibration weight & process worked fine. It has all sorts of warnings about using in temperature varied environments (expected). IMO this just needs to be way cheaper than $200+ for what it is.

It weighs things up to 500g, with an accuracy of 0.001g, but it is not made well. My plate to weigh on is scratched, the doors do not move smoothly, just overall it is not in acceptable condition. Either the scale I have is not new or these are not good quality. It does, however, perform as described, and seems accurate, as you calibrate it yourself. For the connection to a computer, for most people, that cabling isn't something they have lying around nor is it a port that most people have. That would require more of an investment, but I do get that if you're purchasing this, you're already investing. I do think it should come with a way to connect it, though, and it doesn't.Just overall kind of disappointed. I felt that it shouldn't be cheap and should be more complete.
