I bought my first LG OLED TV in 2015 (F9500 65-inch), and over the next 10 years, have purchased 4 more including this one (all still in use), so have a pretty good sense of these beasts (which also explains why these are the only TVs we own). This 77-inch G4 replaced our 2019 E9 series glass 65-inch in the living room and I am amazed how much things have changed in the last 5 years: The colors are brighter and more saturated, the TV is thinner and flush-mountable (woo hoo!), and the WebOS (which we really never use) and other system settings are much improved.Pairing this with a new Sonos Arc Ultra and era 300 surrounds has made a major difference and we are finally getting the real deal with both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision (we stream via an Apple TV 4k device and use Zeskit X-Tech 4k/8k 48Gbps Ultra High Speed HDMI cables).I won't go into preferred settings and all of the technical arcana available online, but even out of the box, this puppy was ready to go.The wall-mounting was a 3-person job ( could have been done with 2, but it weighs 95 pounds!) and after I had installed the included wall mount directly to 12-inch-spaced wall studs, and run all cables through the correct channels on the backside (taping them all down and inside the carved out spaces because they were prone to wandering out due to gravity) it was ready to lift, attach, and snap pleasingly into place! As a side note, we have never had any burn-in with any of the LG OLED's we own, but there is a new setting in this one that can obliterate burn-in pixel-by-pixel should that occur (we simply avoid 24-hour "news" channels hat have fixed chyrons).Overall, this is a beautiful TV that hangs like a piece of art (which it may very well be).The only downside was figuring out how to dispose of the copious (yet necessary) yards of styrofoam and cardboard packaging (we were able to fit half in the week's garbage bin pickup and then refilled it with he remainder and ran our bin across the street for when the truck came back around on that side of the street--score!).

I usually wait a few months before I write reviews on electronics. No issues with this tv. It is in a room with a lot of light and the picture is fabulous. I could barely see the picture during the day on my last tv but not this one. I'm very pleased with my purchase. A little on the expensive side but worth it.

This Oled is regarded as the best tv available for 2024, and boy it doesn’t disappoint. The size alone is by far the biggest I’ve owned all the while fitting against the wall as flush as can be for any flatscreen tv. Wall mounting was a task that requires 2 strong individuals and still being very careful as the size alone can make balancing difficult. The design and build quality is amazing, second only to the picture quality. HDR and Dolby Vision are simply stunning. Sound quality at this price level is mediocre at best but then again if you’re buying the top of the line model you probably also have a surround sound system at home already so no loss of stars for me.I did end up returning this tv only because I found a lower price elsewhere that was hard to pass up, doesn’t change how impressive this tv is.

The picture quality is excellent. Brightness is great as it is the selling point of this TV. For a $2,000 TV, though, the UI, LG Channels and overall Functionality of this TV is REALLY, REALLY bad. In fact, I remember most of my TVs from back in the 90's and 2000's working better functionally than this. How is that even possible lmao? Literally LG Channels constantly crashes and freezes, the are countless superfluous apps you can't delete and the UI just doesn't feel up to date. It's quite appalling and obnoxious for a $2000+ TV in the 2020's.I've tried every trouble shooting option, too; updated the software, reset the TV numerous times, used an ethernet cable and disabled WIFI, turned off power saving options. I even used the Memory Optimization option. Literally Web OS is just really, really, really bad lol. I'm really happy with the picture quality of this TV, but aside from that, one of the main reasons I wanted to upgrade my TV was to get away from Rokus slow and clunky UI and operating system. This is just as bad if not worse in its own regard, though. It's unfathomable. We live a time period where it almost feels like companies just really want to waste your time and energy–as if they get off on it or something. Dimwitted people plague this Earth as we all know, but it's absolutely insane that reputable companies that make millions of dollars engage in incredibly dimwitted behavior and not just that, but in the most fundamentally braindead ways. There are a lot of incredible ways in which we're advancing as a society, but it feels like we're simultaneously going backwards with a lot of things, as well and WebOS, LG Channels and products that implement these kinds of functionalities in modern-times is a great example of that. Companies that drop the ball like this really need to take a strong, good look in the mirror because something is 100% wrong with your brain.
