I've tried other cheaper mineral absorption pads and none seemed to work, the pad had some scale crumbles stuck to it but not like the brand name Levoit pads, these pads work way better. It makes the other pads seem like a scam by comparison, even with the price difference.

Costs about $1 per filter. I change mine once per month, so a very reasonable expense to keep the mineral content in the water down.
