This is solid equipment. Wiring system design and function is first rate. Easy to be sure to get good wire engagement and clamping. Accommodates really heavy gauge....I put this on 10g or maybe it's 8ga stranded 0.65" OD free surplus wire I had laying around and got it to work, but it wouldn't likely work for heavier wire, not that anyone would do that anyway. But I'd like 1/8" more space between the back of the wire connection assembly and the strain relief just to make it work better with heavier wire. Yeah, they're not going to retool for such a request...just note that with heavy less flexible wire, assembly will be much more difficult.

I like the 3 screws that are used to hold this together. A lot or most only have 2.

I could not ask for a better product for the application. If you know how to cut away wire insulation and strip the three copper wires, this will serve you well, easy to install.My wife cut the female end off our very nice 12g extesion cord with hedge trimmers and this product saved me from throwing the entire $50 cord away.It's well insulated and heavy duty, can't go wrong. Leviton is an American company even if they are made elsewhere. I use Leviton at work with IT infrastructure and trust their products.
