I bought four pairs of these jeans, one returned because I picked the wrong size and the other due to a completely different type of fabric than the others. The pairs I kept were Red Haze Indigo (no red, just blue) and Golden Overdye (no golden, just lighter blue). These two are 99% cotton and while not as heavy as the great 501s, they fit and feel pretty good. They get the 4 stars.The one that I returned was called Sin City (no sin, no city…just blue) Note to Levis: Y’all really need to get a grip on these ridiculous names. Although they are advertised as 99% cotton, they weren’t.Tip #1: when you buy any pair of their jeans you need to look carefully at what they’re made from. Years ago you could see the weight in ounces on the labels, now since everything has stretch capability so they mix the cotton down to a lower percentage of the fabric. Cotton weighs more then some synthetic psychepolyelastimar (I can make up my own names too) and sadly the material is way too thin and lightweight.If you got this far, here’s two more things. When you buy any pair of Levi’s that you like, mark down the name and material combo. Why? Because they seem to change the names every season and the material used is in flux. And as far as pricing goes, whether it’s an Amazon thing or just simply business, I bought mine for 39.99 and have seen them as high as 59.99. When I requested that they swap Sin City the day after I got them with the Golden Whateveritscalled, it would have cost me an extra ten. Boo. Hiss.

I usually buy 36x30 but this time followed some reviews and got 38x30 instead, these are proper Levi’s slim fit and looking sharp, also there is plenty of stretch and I reckon they could be washed and dry at will. Moving to 512 now after trying few pairs of 511 (found them too tight) - my choice is 512.

I own many pairs of Levis and this pair just seems off. The red tag on the butt pocket doesnt have the "Levis" letters. I think this is a fake pair of jeans.

My husband is slim and always has a difficult time finding jeans the fit right. These are perfect for him I bought 2 pairs for him for Christmas and he is thrilled with the comfort size fit and feel. He loves that they stretch with him!

The jeans are perfect quality, good looking the only problem is the size It's a headache to find the right size for example, I weigh 185 lbs and I'm 5'7". My normal size is 32x32, but with this type of pants, 32x32 doesn’t fit me; I have to go two sizes up or one for it to fit. It also depends on the color of the pants because for every different color I'm a different size. I ordered the "Sin City - Stretch" in 32x32, and it fit perfectly. But if I order 32x32 in "Dolf Sundown - Medium Indigo," it doesn’t fit. Also the color is different from the picture so keep that in mind. My suggestion is to go one or two sizes up from your normal size.

My husband got these and a pair from Old Navy on black friday, and let me say—there is a huge difference. They are the same size, but these are so much nicer and fit him so much better! They didn’t shrink in the first few washes, they’re thicker fabric, and the cut is flawless. He says they’re comfortable too, so it’s a win-win. And they look great on him, which is a win for me 😉

These are definitely the best Levi’s for a slim tapered skinny jean look. These are actually more tapered than the 510s which are the branded skinny jeans fit. Upon doing research turns out 512s have a smaller ankle while also having an extra inch of width from knee to thigh, along with a lower rise, which makes theee the perfect cut to also fit well on a woman. I wouldn’t go with these if you have thick thighs though. I would go with the 550, 531 or 541 if you are a women with thicker hips or thighs.I have long been wearing men’s jeans simply because they tend to have better pockets, better material and more length. I would say the 512s have the best cut for a slim feminine looking fit on a woman.
