Got this for my 6-lbs Maltese who loves to lounge and sleep with her head resting on the raised edge of her dog beds. This works great for her because it’s not too high and not too low, just perfect height for her to rest her head on without straining her neck. The pillow can fit a bigger dog. Our dog loves lounging on this pillow, and the pink looks good on her.I can’t speak much about the calming claim but I know my dog likes the pillow and uses it quite often. The pillow product comes in three soft foam pieces and can be joined together to give your dog multiple resting options.. The product comes vacuum packed bag and will need to be fluffed. I suggest washing prior to use

The product arrived with no instructions. After playing with it for a while, I figured out that the "side legs" attach to the "top semi-circle" by pushing the cottonball nub on the leg through a small elastic band on the bottom edge of the semi-circle (on each side). They attached easily and firmly once figured out. Was unsure the dog would like it, but she hopped right onto it as soon as I placed it on the sofa! (see photo) Clearly, the dog knew what to do with it, and clearly liked it! So, even though I was initially perplexed, I found this product works well. If you have a small dog like our Shih Tzu, I think you will be very happy with this product. (note: we reviewed the small dog version) Recommended.

Both my 2 senior dogs and young grand child like this pillow. The pink is so cute and it is very comfy and soft. The issue we have is that we cannot figure out how in the world the pillow pieces are supposed to come together. I have several pregnancy type of pillows that I use to support my back and knees while sleeping. They look very similar to the photos on the listing for this calming pillow. All them assemble by simply zipping the pieces together and you're done. This dog pillow has some sort of snaps that make no sense to us. When snapped, the pieces are just loose and floppy. It's almost like they made the pieces and forgot that they had to be put together somehow...then just plopped a couple of plastic snaps on it and called it a day. 3 adults have not figured it out yet, but maybe we are missing something. Nonetheless, it is still being enjoyed by both human and canine alike.

Came in and instantly set it up so my 5 mo old puppy can lay out the way so i can clean up the place. She loves to go back to it rather its waiting for me to get done cleaning, cooking or just laying down after a long day!

Our dog just loves her new pillow. She immediately took over it.It has two different textures but feels very soft. Well made.

My lil fur sis loves this, she relaxes so well on it. Not sure if I put it together the right way, the strap to connect the arms was on one and a snap for the strap to snap onto the other was on the other arm. Kinda threaded it through some loops to reach the other arm. It didn’t have a smell on arrival, washed really easily. Was disappointed that it didn’t fluff up more, even after a wash and run through the drier. It can handle color safe bleach alternative. It isn’t flat but definitely not as fluffy as the photos, guess I expected a bit of firmness to hold a fur babe from rolling. Had thought about also using it for my 25 lb Siberian cat because she tends to roll off the couch but no way would that work. However that just means no sharing. Not sure if it’s a fair price since I expected fluffy and firmer, but it is well made (though a bit mystifying to put together), and it is as large as expected. Personally would give it 4 stars but the satisfaction from my fur sis is 5 stars, and that’s what matters.

I was really disappointed with this calming dog pillow. When I first unpacked it, I found the main pillow to be very flat, and it only got flatter after my dog used it. It’s advertised as being comparable to a human body pillow, but it’s nothing like that—there's hardly any cushion compared to just lying on the floor.I also had safety concerns with the plastic pieces holding the drawstrings; they are about the size of a nickel, making them huge choking hazards, especially for smaller dogs. The photos don’t show these plastic pieces, which is misleading. I removed mine immediately because didn’t want to risk my dog’s safety.On the positive side, it is washing machine safe, which is a nice feature. However, that’s not enough to make up for the lack of support and safety issues. Overall, I would not recommend this product at all.
