No tools are needed, helping prevent the hole saw from locking on the arbor. The LENOX hole saw arbor also threads directly into virtually all hole saws, with no adapter needed. Easier plug removal helps save time.

Very sharp saw. I also learned the trick to remove the arbor. It takes only a second if you do it right.

Definitely the best on the market. Tried many other quick release ones on the job site but they aren't really "quick" to change. These are by far the best

If I just screw the arbor all the way into the hole saw, then there is no play between the drive shaft and the saw, but the quick release pins on the arbor are not aligned with the holes in the saw, so the thread is the only thing driving, and this might wear over time. To engage the pins that are supposed to drive the saw, I have to slightly loosen the screw. In this case there is play between the drive shaft and the saw resulting in a less than perfect hole.I gave this 3 stars because I have to choose between driving the saw with the pins (which look very solid) and having a slight wobble on the saw, or tightening the screw all the way and getting a perfect hole, but using the center thread (which looks like it will wear over time). I feel that it should have been possible to create a design where the quick release pins could be aligned with the holes once the thread in the center was tight.

This does the job. I have several kinds of arbors and this is my favorite. It just makes it that much easier to work with or change.

This is the first 'wrenchless' arbor I've purchased and glad to see manufacturers are making this process much easier. You just screw it in until the pins line up push the collar to close. I am giving it four stars because it is somewhat difficult to pull the collar back to unlock it. I lubricated it and it still takes way too much effort to unlock. It does help if you wiggle it back and forth as you are pulling, but I feel it should be as smooth in both directions. No problem with functionality though.

Works great. Used this to replace a standard arbor which I have had for about twenty years. Saves time and has held well after being used for about a year. Lenox makes quality tools and this one has held up to the normal Lenox standard.
