The High Speed Steel Cutting Edge provides superior durability in nail embedded wood to stay sharper longer. The Chamfered Edge allows the bit to be removed easily after the drilling flutes remove the excess wood chips. The aggressive lead screw tip pulls the bit through the material quickly and effortlessly. This bit also features a longer shank that allows you to dril lthrough 4-by-4s without an extension. The shank features a 1/2-Inch Hex shank that will work with 1/2-Inch quick change adapters. This bit comes packaged with an extra lead screw and wrench to change the screw.

Arrived on time & packaged well. Made nice clean cut thru 4 inch beam. This 3" dia. size required a lot of drill motor torque for consistent cutting and could cause physical harm if drill motor is not braced adequately. Required a 1/2 inch electric drill motor.

Within 10 seconds on the first use, the protruding guide/auger broke/came out. Not pleased...buyer beware.

these bits are either a hit or miss...you'll have some that are really good, then you'll have some that break on the first hole. which sometimes makes it expensive. i can usually re-sharpen the bits with a file and last me a while. I can make one last me a good amount for maybe 2-3 months, depending on the amount of times i eat nails. I've never had a problem with receiving the bits, they come delivered pretty fast.
