These lacy, luscious afghans for baby feature exquisite patterns with deep borders, crocheted in sport weight yarn. Designed by Terry Kimbrough, any of the 5 afghans makes a great gift at baby showers and is sure to become a family heirloom.

The "book" I received had tally marks on a few pages. I spent 20 dollars for the item that was marked as $5.99 on the cover. Super disappointed.

This came just in time. I found that a close family friend is expecting. I am having so much fun making a blanket for her and her new bundle of joy.

Pattern attracted me because it is different. I finished the shawl within a week and the pattern was easy to follow, although I would suggest the buyers be aware that the pattern uses American crochet instructions. However, the pattern does explain the differences between English crochet terms and the American ones.

This book has 5 lovely baby afghans that are heirloom quality by the marvelous designer Terry Kimbrough. I took off one star because of the mixed up organization of the booklet, i.e., a picture on the cover that is #3 with the directions on pages 7-8. Make the cover picture #1 with the instructions right at the beginning. Place the instructions right next to each picture. However, this booklet is small enough that It is not a huge deal to see the picture and hunt for the directions.

I love it. I had one I was using to crochet a baby afghan for my great grandson, but I misplaced it, and he is due in two weeks. So I needed another one and was overjoyed that I could still purchase this booklet. I love your patterns, they are just beautiful!!

I am currently making Terry Kimbrough's "Sweet Dreams" and I found it helpful to make myself an "in a nutshell" sheet which greatly simplified the instructions. Granted for the first few rows, you have to follow the instructions VERY carefully, but when the repetitive rows begin you can follow them better if you have notes. Ironically, I went online to Terry Kimbrough and found that there is a photo of a "crochet chart" which I printed and that also relieves some of the confusion. "Sweet Dreams" is working up beautifully. This is so beautiful, I may try making this pattern using #10 white cotton thread instead of yarn. This would be a simply gorgeous table mat.

This was not a book but more a pamphlet with only a few patterns. The patterns were lovely and would make lovely heirlooms but I felt it being listed as a book, it might of contained more. Still good and suppose value for money.

Patterns are lovely and relatively easy. Would recommend it for anyone wishing to try their hand at blankets. Would make ideal gift.

These patterns make up the most AMAZING baby blankets I have seen. Check out [...] users' posted pictures of their completed projects and you'll be convinced. That's how I discovered this book. I just bought it myself so I can't personally comment on how easy the patterns are, but several people on Ravelry said they were quick to work up on fairly large size hooks (e.g., H) with sport weight yarn. The pictures of real people's finished projects have made me want to make several of these right away.
