The patterns are beautiful, so I am giving it a 4.Unfortunately, all but 3 of the patterns require assembly. None of the patterns are labeled beginner, intermediate, or expert. The 3 that don't require assembly are OK (intermediate), but the rest appear to be expert. It is really hard to determine what siding you are crocheting where because the instructions don't say.

Most of the patterns in this book are fantastic! There is always one or two you don't like in any book, but this one is worth the money. Some truly stunning patterns!

Such a lovely bunch of old fashioned lacy afghans. Very pretty. If you love to be nostalgic and love to crochet. you will be very happy with this book.
