This brine Shrimp hatchery dish does not need spotlight, not need provide oxygen, and brine shrimp will be automatically concentrated in the hatching circle in the center of the hatchery dish under the phototaxis characteristics.
During incubation, the incubation temperature of brine shrimp should not exceed 30 degrees Celsius/ 86 degree Fahrenheit, and it is best to keep it at 26 -28 degrees Celsius/ 78. 8 - 82. 4 degree Fahrenheit.

I thought this would be a convenient and interesting way to hatch baby brine, and it may work well in aquariums with low flow air stones or water that is entirely still at the surface, but between the 9 tanks I have deployed currently I tried two and always seemed to have aquarium water leaking in and never did get a reasonable hatch rate. As much as 2 liter bottles can be a pain, I’ll keep using those.Definitely works, just not as well as I need it to for my needs.

I was hopeful this would be a good addition to the other hatcherys I have been using. Upon opening it it was missing suction cups, the white spoon and rubberband.

This product is so simple and easy to use. The directions are a little confusing at first, but once you get the setup down it’s pretty beautiful how simplistic the entire thing is.The kit comes with all the materials needed for harvesting and was pleasantly very useful.A few suggestions on use:- stay calm while assembling, this thing doesn’t like to be over manipulated.- have the unit in place before adding shrimp and salt, helps to keep shells out of the middle space.- if the lid will not close, make sure the center piece is directly in the middle of the opening to the lid. Also, the lid does not need to completely shut to be effective, forcing it shut will cause the eggs to move around too much.- do not fill to the fill line!! It will capsize.- if you have a small enough tank, you can use the included rubber band suction cups on opposite ends of the tank to create a scaffolding to place the unit on. This technique was the only way to get the unit from capsizing when the water was filled up according to the directions.As with all our precious tanks, please be careful when you introduce new things into them. This product did have some dust and needed to be washed well before placing into one of my tanks. If you have only one tank with expensive fish (or it’s your only tank), please read the sad tale from the poster below about his sea horses. While this product is fantastic for my setup, it’s not the best option for everyone.

This is the first time I've tried to hatch brine shrimp and wanted an easy low-tech set up. I haven't tried actually floating this unit in my tank and I have a fluval edge (which only has a very small opening), but I just sit this on top of the tank and that seems to be providing enough warmth to make the eggs hatch (our nights are currently getting down to 9 degrees Celsius).My only (very minor) complaint is that it doesn't not come with printed instructions, so every time I want to hatch a new batch, I need to jump onto amazon and flip though the product photos to remember how much salt I need etc.The little opening works so well in attracting the hatched shrimp to the surface, and the little sieve is a must have if you dont want your tank full of salt water. Ive also noticed that my fish have become more brightly coloured since feeding them live food. Highly reccomend!

It technically does hatch brine shrimp, which is good. and they do concentrate in the middle which is helpful, however, there are also a bunch of eggs that end up in the middle too if you slightly bump the container, or when you put the lid on. So i have to carefully siphon the shrimp out of the container, avoiding the eggs, just to put them in their tank and I was hoping for something that would make the process a bit more simple and this really just feels like an extra step honestly. the lid is also slightly warped, so its not super easy to get on to the container.

I’m writing this review because I placed this in my dwarf seahorse tank. I don’t know what came off of it chemically or what but it literally killed over $300 worth of dwarf pipefish, my dwarf pipefish and all my snails. Beyond upset at the loss of my precious ponies and the snails who have lived through everything. Even the seahorses have lived for months with water changes, slightly elevated ammonia levels. Never had I lost every single creature in my tank. Crying so devastated. I don’t know if the floating ring gave off something. But stay away from this product. I would hope the seller see# this and reimburses me for my high loss

I reached out to the owner, still waiting on a response but I just measure the salt by eye. They been hatching and separate from the egg easily. Takes the hazard of fish swallowing eggs shells which is harmful to their digestive system. You get a good amount of hatchlings baby brine shrimp just siphon them out with a dispensing medication syringe. The dropper is cheap and doesn’t grab as many hatchlings as I need. Give it a 4/5 overall good product. Only hatch what you will use within 48 hrs or the hatchlings will die. They are most nutritious in the beginning stages unless you convert them to a bigger tank and allow them to grow to adult size and then feed them. I have tetra and dumbo ear guppies so the original size is good enough for me. Hope you find this informative, happy hatching!!
