Simple to install, I like that it is adjustable, definitely the best priced option. Added a couple 2×6 boards and works great.

these usually sell in pairs, thats what their purpose is...Hang long objects My fault as I assumed a pair.. wrong there are others out there for the same price or less that are in a set of two. like I said, my fault forordering to quickly...price is good for a pair not for one

This product is good for hanging lengths of anything. If you have individual items (e.g.bicycle rims), just drill and put hooks into a length of 2 x 4s and it works great. Trouble is, the weight limit is about 50 lbs., so you can't put excessive weight on them. But I have a new pair, but also an older pair from like 10 years+ and they are still holding like a champ, holding hockey sticks, bike rims, exercise gadgets, ski rack, etc. Good for garage organization. To install, you need to find beams in your garage ceiling that you can secure the hooks to. Six screws per hangar.

Found studs for good support. These are plenty big and sturdy to hold way more than some ladders. I really like that they are no longer taking up space on the garage floor. I think they could hold a bike on either end, too, again if drilled into studs of the trusses. Hope that helps someone who is considering these for some specific purpose.

Picture, if you will: one pool solar blanket, on its fancy reel, over 25 feet long, sitting across the garage, blocking access to the Christmas decorations, making it impossible to get around the car with the garage door down, taking up valuable workspace, and being a nuisance all over.Not anymore.The product is simple, and by that very nature it works. The fact it comes with screws is nice (but no spares—be careful).The real trick is installation.You MUST find actual joists—no cheating with drywall anchors here! (Even those spiral EZ Anchors; I love those but their ratings are for walls, not overhead.) So break out the stud finder. What? You don’t have one? Guess this project, and product, isn’t for you then.With my crazy need, I attempted to use a battery-powered laser level to stay on target at that distance. It’s range was horribly poor, but I managed to sight it with a couple inches by temporary taping them to the ceiling. My garage has drywall but isn’t painted, so I could use the mudded screw heads as guides to where those joists were.Reminder: always drill the correct pilot hole!In the end, I managed to get them screwed in where I needed them. One is at a bit of an angle so a couple screws missed the wood but that’s the lighter end of the reel/cover. All three have held for almost a month, so I should be good all winter. (If I’m wrong, our lease car will take a beating!)If you can install a TV mount, you can probably do this, but NO CHEATING. And remember those goggles and dust mask because drilling overhead WILL find your face.

I purchased multiple overhead storage bangers for my kayaks and pre-measured the small boats prior to my purchase. The hangers were a bit off when I received them, but I was able to make them work but getting another set and staggering the products. They were easy to install, but when using the lower portions of the hangers they do wobble and loose some of their strength. Overall they are a good product, I would just recommend having extending arms to accommodate thicker (not necessarily heavier) items.

Nice hangers - but folks, they are not much good when you omit the screw pack from one of the pair. Easier, faster, and cheaper for me to buy 6 more at the hardware store than do a return.Frustrating. First time I've experienced something like this on Amazon.

This is a great storage solution because of how the hanger can be turned to adjust to any situation. I also discovered that 1" pvc pipe fits over the short uprights (if you remove the rubber gaskets) and thereby allows you even safer storage so that things don't roll off the sides. I was so happy with how it works in my storage shed, I ordered another set for my garage where it is also a great solution!
