· Male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on one end and female NPT threads on the other for connecting pipes with different ends.
· Adapter for connecting pipes or fittings of different types and size. Meet NPTF requirement of US, better than NPT thread, could be used as NPT thread, too.

These worked fine. I really needed an NPSM instead of NPT fitting, but did not realize that at first to connect my airbrush to shop air. Used a HF (High Flow) quick change nozzle screwed to to this part. The mod was to run a 1/8 NPT die WAY down over the threads on this part (using an NPSM die would have worked better, but I did not have one of those), and the airbrush hose would then start and screw down a few threads. It wouldn't screw down quite far enough to seal, so all I did was find an o-ring (7/32 X 1/16 HNBR) and put it in the airbrush hose connection, tightened it all down, and it works perfectly, no leaks.

I was disappointed when I received someone else's apparent returned item. When I opened the delivery envelope I reached in and removed an empty package. Upon further inspection, the items I ordered were in fact in the delivery envelope, however the item package had been cut open at a 45 degree angle and the package itself had "Whole Food" written on it in ball point pen.I guess as long as it works it's O.K., but it's still disappointing when you pay for a new item and receive someone else's return.

I waited over an hour in Lowes just to get assistance. (Half hour before I could find somebody & another half hour after they announced, on the PA, for someone to come to the aisle.) That was my second trip there since during my first trip, I could not find anyone to help after about 40 minutes. I brought the items I needed to fit. The rep wasted another 25 minutes of my time to tell me that they did not carry them. He wrote down what he said I needed to find. Everything was wrong. I came to Amazon and just by sight I recognized what I needed. The items arrived immediately and they all work great and were made well! No more leaks!!!! Thanks Amazon & to the manufacturer!
