Back by popular demand! The Eminence Legend BP102 has been a staple product for many bass guitar wonders over the past 10 years. Eminence has had so many requests for this speaker, Eminence couldn't refuse to put it in their catalog. This is a favorite for 3X, 4X, and 8X10 cabinets! It also works great as a mid in PA applications or in a three-way bass cabinet. This speaker features a 8 ohm and 200 watt rating.

Used to replace a blown, lesser quality brand speaker in a bass cabinet.

My paradigm ps1000 sub, destroyed it’s foam surround. I could not find a OE replacement subwoofer anywhere. So I decided after some research to try this driver as a more musical replacement. It sounds fantastic- better than the original! Tighter bass, more musical everywhere - excellent replacement even for a sub!

The drivers that came with my Ampeg SVT210 cab 10 years ago never sounded right. Being a bass nube at the time, I just lived with it and then eventually just switched over to a pair of BX8 studio monitors for practicing. But I wanted a bigger sound, did a little research to convince myself that the original monitor were faulty (shame on you Ampeg), and ordered these babies. They came faster then expected, were a breeze to install, and they sound just fantastic. Deep, rich, clear tone. I love them!

Sure, some of us can design and tune speaker enclosures, but Eminence provides everything you need to do it, even if you have no experience. The speaker itself is of the highest quality, it produces a very clean deep sound.

I put one of these in a very small ported 12x12x18 inch cabinet to use for a rehearsal / small gig rig, paired up with a Warwick Gnome I Pro. The sound is impressive...every bit as big as the old 15" combo I used to play. I bought the 8 ohm. So, at some point, I might go ahead and get / build a second cab. I'm amazed at both the sound and power handling this little 10" speaker is capable of pushing. Plus, it's nice to have a bass rig that I can easily pick up with one hand.

Great speakers are such an important part of any good sound, and these really are great!Replaced a fried 10” in a Peavey Minx first generation bass amp and it sounds as good as any combo this size I’ve ever heard.

I chose to put 4 of these in my old 4x10 bass cab and the sound is absolutely amazing. Very punchy with a solid low end, so punchy they would sound great with the horn turned all the way down. I play a lot of hard rock/metal and like a very powerful punchy bass tone with a strong low end w/out any distortion. These are exactly what I needed and made my sansamp completely unnessessary.

So far the speakers work very well and deliver a great amount of high end that was needed really bad!! The death metal band necrolord has recorded with a simmons 4/10 bass cabinet for their albums demonic plague and prophecies revealed...Used in tandem with a 1/18 and they have told me the sound is crushingly heavy.Very satisfied and will use them again.

I just tested this speaker, installed over 3 months ago for a Bill Fitzmaurice horn subwoofer project (pro audio). For an11 x 12 foot bedroom installed with a plate amp @300 watts max Chinese made from Parts Express. I chose this speaker to stay out of the realm of over expense and giving enough power to not distort the speaker with harmonics by choosing a conservative power plate amp, however if I were to use this sub outdoors (I'll test that out later) but , it's under my bed, so I'll have to jack up my bed again to remove it. The speaker has the right amount of x max, low power consumption, high quality build for its purpose.I didn't take pictures of every step of the progress of construction.

Installed a pair of these in an original SWR Redhead 2x10 bass combo (original PAS drivers). Fit was good in a tight mounting space - extra mounting holes on the same pattern meant no need to redrill the baffle, and these gave me a great-sounding result.I chose the BP102 model over the B102 version because the BP102 had the better XMAX spec. It is also suited for both ported and sealed enclosures. While the BP102 doesn't have the same frequency response from 2-4kHz, I play with a more vintage tone and liked the result quite a bit. Be sure to understand the Thiele-Small parameters for both models, but don't worry about the difference in tone too much - even with the BP102's 2kHz rolloff, this Redhead combo still has the ability to generate plenty of hi-fi sound thanks to the SWR preamp circuit & the Foster tweeter.I would have given the BP102 5 stars if this stamped-frame product utilized spring terminals for the speaker connections. Soldering in place while supporting the driver can be tricky, and losing the OEM driver's no-solder spring terminal makes future swaps that much harder (like at a gig). Then again, Fender charges a lot more for their version of the OEM speaker. These Eminence BP102s were a good value and gave me an excellent result. I would buy them again for the same application.

Yeah at this point I feel like I'm reviewing just to review. I'm just saying that if you're buying this you most likely know what it is and how it's going to sound. I used it to replaced a blown 10" on a Ampeg SVT810 type set up. It worked and sounded like the others and hasn't blown under mass wattage. I would recommend.
