This is my first foray into soap making making but it has been fun to learn. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand and the process is actually pretty simple! The one-touch start is incredibly convenient, and the large 4lb capacity can melt a substantial amount of soap at once, which great for the larger batches. It’s been cool to make soaps with various scented and they’ve been fun gifts. The heated spigot helps to prevent clogs and ensures a smooth, consistent pour. Even for someone doing it the first time it’s easy. I haven’t run into any problems thus far and I’ve used this multiple times for make various batches of soap. It says that it regales the temperature and prevents overheating. This thing does get hot, but it seems to be normal so I’d say this function seems to work well and the soap doesn’t burn.I personally use the Leerie S4 to create a variety of soaps, from simple single-ingredient bars to more elaborate recipes with added botanicals and essential oils. Comes with the pouring pot, stirring spoon, and silicone mold. The cleanup is easy enough, wipe down the interior and run hot water through the plug, and it's ready for the next use. It’s been a cute and fun little project to work on for something different to do. I don’t know how often I’ll really use this but it’s fun to make personalized little soaps for friends and family.

so i sorta collect my soap ends and melt them down for soap making. it was a disaster on the stove top. it was messier than i’d like. then i have to clean those stove top of soap. luckily it’s a induction, so it was manageable. but it’s wax. so it was a hassle.this leerie one is practical. it’s already built up so you can plop your mould under the spigot and let’er rip.i used this in conjunction with an orange silicone mat that has a rise around the edge. so if things let loose i just have to clean up this mat and not the table, chair, floor, stove etc.the instructions are easy enough.the major pit fall is there is no temperature control. i suppose soap is soap and it melts at the same heat. i don’t know. i’m no scientist lol.i have a wax melter and if we could combine them we’d really have a great product.there are flaws with the wax that the soap improved upon. likethe outer shell. plastic for wax, metal for soap.temp control. wax yes, soap nope.hight. wax there is none, soap perfect for filling hight.i love this a lot simply because it is easy to use and clean up after than doing it the stovetop way.

This is so easy. I am always looking for a new business idea to add to my little farm. I like how easy this is to do and I can make little cubed bars of soap to sell. I barely do anything and come out with something nice. Plus, it is quick, so I love time savers.

My mother and I used to have family nights when I was a child. Each evening Monday through Friday, we would do something fun and creative like make soap, candles, bake, etc. So, when I saw this soap melter, I thought that it would be a nice way to carry on the family tradition in a more modern and advanced way than when I was a child. Plus, I have wanted to make my own scented soap for a while with pure ingredients. The soap melter worked like a dream and I am very happy with the outcome. As I have not used this type of unit before, I have nothing to compare it to. But I have a friend who was impressed with how the soap melter worked for me and she makes soap often. So, now she is going to order one. Also, I was surprised and relieved at how easy it was to clean.Overall, it is a solid unit.

It has a great handbook and instructions. As easy as cutting my melting soap up putting it in and turning the switch on. It can hold up to 10 cups. I’m pleased it came with a simple silicone mold, a spoon, and a measuring cup to pour in. A tremendous device to get me started on my melt-pour soap-making adventure.

I have wanted to try making soap but was intimidated. I finally decided to give it a try and I was happy with how easy it was. I was able to just press a button and the melter did all the work. The soap base was easy to work with and melted very fast. The consistency maintained steady and the pour spout made it so easy and mess free. I love that this doesn't take a big amount of room and the cleanup was easy. The coating made it possible to just wipe up without scraping.

If you want to do larger batches of soap, this melter/re-melter is an excellent piece of gear for you.Holds 4 quarts/ 1 gallon (3.78 litres) of soap.Heats up and maintains temperature well.It will melt 4 lbs (1.8 kg) in a swift 15-20ish minutes.Well designed inside with a "V" trench in the bottom to the pouring spout intake. You will get 95% of the soap to drain out without tilting the Melter. In most cases you end up tipping it over or removing the lid and pouring from the top to get the last of the soap out.Heavy duty Plumbing style ball valve shutoff for the pouring spout. This spout and valve are heated when device is on so the flow of liquid soap should be smooth and easy.Comes with a stirring spoon, 2.5 cup (600ml) measure for receiving liquid soap and pouring into moulds. Also includes a basic silicone mould with spaces for 6 bars.Very good value for a soap melting machine.

I love that I can make several loaves of soap at once with this pot. It holds a lot of soaps, melts it safely, and then dispenses it cleanly into my loaf molds. Making my Christmas soap has never been so easy.

This was great and really spread up our production time. I may consider a second one next year. We’ve done it the hard way each year, and this was by far preferred.

It's so much easier to make soap in this soap melter than in a pan on the stove. It's much lighter than I imagined. The tap is worth gold.

A great product! Well made, stocked with some "extras" and nice features, make this unit an excellent choice for starting a small production soap business! The Leerie "pot" works on 110v AC, and comes with a solid 16gauge near 4' cord that ends with a 3-prong grounded plug. Flipping the "on/off" lighted switch on the front panel, lights up the "Heating" indicator and starts the heating process in the pot.The pot appears solid, with two handles on the sides, near the top. Closer examination shows that these handles are screwed in from the inside. I like that because if a handle becomes loose after a lot of use, it can be easily tighten. (#2 Philips)The spigot for removal of the melted soap stock, is heated. What a great attention to detail. It means less chance of a clog from cooled soap, if you are not able to use all the soap stock at a single pour. The valve is a "ball valve", one a common "gate valve". This just means a much higher quality valve, and one that opens and closes quickly. Little extra features are the directions on the handle, showing what direction is "open" and "closed". In addition, the valve can be closed in either a left turn or a right turn. The centre position is the "pour" setting.Another small detail that shows quality, is the "Max" stamping on the inside of the tub. It just shows you the maximum level of soap stock, so you don't accidentally over-fill the unit.Included is a 600ml (2.5 cups) plastic measuring/pouring cup, a six-piece mound, a glass lid for the top of the tub and a near 10.5" rigid metal stirring spoon.Apart for dealing with the heat, it is a very enjoyable, quiet and interesting activity. Dare I say, "Fun for the whole family", because it is! And the process of just making the soap is very simple and straightforward. The real fun starts with the way you can experiment with different scents, colour and imbedded objects.Bottom Line - A very creative activity, and one that produces a very useful and necessary product. Great for making some wonderful favourite soaps, and for making much appreciated gifts! You only need to purchase some bulk soap stock, and you are good to go!
