You know how every time you get out the hot glue, someone burns their finger really badly? These actually do the job. They were a big success, although they are a little bit weird to use. But the kids got a kick out of them, and any burns were mitigated byt he fact that they could shuck the finger covers right off. No blisters!

Ordered these to guard my fingertips as I am retwisting locs. They're okay but they don't stay on tightly. Then when I got my nails done (not long) they don't stay on at all anymore.

"Lee Micro Gel Fingertips - Medium Size 11.50" are essentially large silicone thimbles that are slightly sticky and have raised dots on them for extra gripping. They're pretty thick, very stretchy, and easy to take on and off.To put it simply, these things are amazing! They're one of those products that you never even considered needing, but once you have them, you can't figure out how you lived without them. :)A large part of that is that they're so incredibly versatile. Here are some things that you can use them for, among others: to avoid...* fingertip abrasions and cuts (examples: paper cuts, string instrument abrasions, wire handling, etc.)* dry skin from paper handling* dirt / ink / messes in general* licking your fingers to get a better grip on paper (who even -knows- what's on them? 0.o)* pokes from sharp objects* heat (example: from a glue gun)* cold (example: rearranging the freezer)* moistureThey're also really good for gardening, cooking, baking, and handling: playing cards; money, and thermal paper, among other things.I simply can't praise these enough, and at $8 per pack of 12, these are definitely well-priced (a steal for usability and a low cost for silicone). :)Seriously, go buy these. You'll find a use for them before you know it!

My job deals with a lot of sensitive paperwork and sifting through every single document is a must. For anyone that works with paper or paper crafts your fingers get so dry and it's hard to get a good grip on the paper. I prefer these Gel Fingertips over finger balm as it feels icky on the skin.I like that these have grips on the outside and the fit was great. As a person with small hands, the small size fit perfectly. They also fit when I was wearing long acrylic nails. 12 for a pack is an amazing value! No complaints here

I know these are meant to aid in handling paper, and they definitely do that, but I had a different purpose in mind. A few months ago I severed the tip of my finger.... not just a little slice, but a big chunk, within 1mm of the most distal bone. It's taken a long time and a lot of bandaging to heal, and I'm growing impatient with the whole rebandanging process daily. I opted to try one of these over a small bandaid instead of using ever more vet wrap. These are perfect to protect my fingertip while not making my finger too bulky. I'm starting to reincorporate the use of my injured finger into typing which is helping immensely. So glad I found these!!!

They are nicely thin, not bulky and fit well, stretchy to put on but then conform. They are opaque so are visible. I bought them to turn music pages in a choir concert, so hopefully they’re not too visible. They might be, we’ll see.
