This light is convenient with its on-board battery providing power. Makes it good for a little backlighting on a subject when wires would be distracting. The ability to change the color temp is also handy. The one issue I have with it is that the barn doors are nearly useless. If you close them then they expose the light again on the hinge side. This defeats the whole purpose. I suppose some tape or cloth glued over the gap would do the trick but I don't want to have to modify a tool to do the basic thing it claims it's meant to do. This makes it more like a light with inconvenient shades that get in the way.

What's there to say? It works as advertised, and it looks more expensive than it is.

It's a great light so far! The only issue I have with it is the charging. I left it charging for over 3 hours and it's it's still showing it's not fully charged with it consistently blinking around the 4th bar, 2nd from the last bar to full. I'm wondering if it's a glitch in the LED gauge, because when I turned it on with charging, it went to the last bar ar full and continued to blink from there. I included a photo of it showing it charging after 3 hours with the light turned off.

Pretty nice bright and rechargeable lights for easy photography. I have a couple of others that use external batteries but they run out rather quickly. This seems to run for a decent amount of time and it is pretty bright.

I have been using selfie ring lights to take my portrait shots for friends and family. The Unicucp LED Video Light put ring lights to shame. Using the barn door in combination with the dial settings allowed me to get the right temperature to light my subjects. Dialing in the intensity ensured that I got the best lighting no matter what lighting situation I was in. My son needed to get headshots done for a movie he auditioned for. I was impressed by how well the Unicucp lit his face. Take away all the little imperfections by dialling in the light intensity. I also appreciated the camera shoe accessory that allowed me to mount the Light Panel on my DSLR. What would have made this light panel perfect would be more accessories like a mounting clamp. So where does the Comedy Show come in? Well, I attended an amateur Comedy Show and was surprised to see that the Comedy Troop was using the Unicucp LED Panels to light the stage. The panels were not connected to a power source and kept the stage lit for two hours without fading.I am really pleased with the versatility of the panel lighting and I have used it to light my work desk when fixing computers. From long battery life to dialling in the temperature and intensity of the light. I found the Unicucp to be a very versatile light panel to have. No more ring lights for me.

I've been using external-battery LED panels for a few years and I'm pretty happy with them, but now I got this, which I expected to be relatively cheap and weak...and it's brighter than my old panel at a smaller size! It's lighter weight (plastic) so it's easier to travel with, but may sustain damage sooner.Still, for the price it's a really impressive product. Stays charged long enough for my 30 min to 2 hour shoots (with juice to spare, though I haven't tested how long it stays running). Also, the diffuser is not incredible (compared to a real softbox) but much better than no diffuser.

I needed some extra lighting equipment for my video projects and I didn’t have any LED panels, so why not try this one.Included in the packaging is the LED panel, a power cable for constant power or charging, a hot shoe mount and a user guide. The panel is 18 by 27 cm and contains many LEDs. They also have barn doors on each side to control the lighting spread. The power cable is about 8 feet long, which should be more than fine. There are a couple of different things on the back of the LED panel. There is an LCD display that shows how much battery there’s left, the brightness level and light temperature. There are also two knobs, one for the brightness and the other for the temperature. Finally, there is a power switch and the charging port.It is really nice that it has a long lasting integrated battery. It will come in handy when there is no power on hand. I didn’t test how long exactly it would last, but it lasted for more than a hour at maximum brightness. Also, the light temperature is highly adjustable, which means it should fit with the room lighting. The only thing that is a bit of a con is that the product is completely made out of plastic. For the price, I can understand why it’s like this. It might not be as durable as if it were made out of metal, but it should be more than fine if you take care of your item. All in all, I highly recommend it if you don’t have one on hand since it will be an excellent addition to your lighting equipment.

Excellent light! The light panel is pretty big offering a really nice, diffused light on the subject. The back panel controls color temp fairly granularly or at least with sufficient control that i can match similar lighting i am using. Panel comes with a 12V USB plug (i do unfortunately have to point out the plug is not certified for use in Canada, so please keep this in mind and consider replacing it)Mounting is pretty good with a 3/8" screw on the horizontal and vertical orientation sides. A little GoPro style connector offers vertical and horizontal adjustments. It's also got a built-in cold shoe connector for your rig. I don't do video work but it's nice to have this and other mounting options available.USBC would be nice for a portable power pack, but battery life seems more than sufficient for my usage setting up for the occasional photo and minor video work.Overall, i am happy with the light, the brightness and color temp can all be dialed in sufficiently, the shutters generally help keep the bleed down. Mounting options are plentiful and the battery pack further adds to the versatility. I am quite happy with the light, and it will be a solid companion for my photography.

I have been a working stiff (commercial advertising photography and film) for quite a few decades . . . and tend to be very critical of equipment . . . justifiably so.So, I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived. I was expecting something directed at the home hobbyist, which it appears to be, but they did put some forethought into the design and build and it shows. Not bad at all!It comes with a small ball head for mounting on a hot shoe, and with a charger/cable. As others have noted, the shoe mount adapter is flimsy . . . throw it in the garbage, and buy a more solid unit. There are also mounting holes with metal inserts on (looking from behind) the left side and on the bottom. The light is a decent size for use as a small fill or kicker, and as a light for vlogging or home video use.On the back there is the power switch, a small screen showing charge, temperature and output. The temperature and output are controlled by seperate knobs. The intensity control is very linear . . . no jumps or bumps. The colour temperature (with it's settings) is not precise, though it does fall well within acceptable limits . . . and that is expected on units in this price range. I use a colour meter frequently in my work (for help in balancing different light sources), and virually any and every light that I have ever acquired, has been off . . . the corollary "you get what you pay for" unfortunately holds true here . . . I have only ever experienced precise temperature and adjustments with units costing way more than this. If you are using simply one light, not too much of an issue because it can be . . . fixed in post.It takes a reasonable time to charge and the usage you get out of that charge will of course be entirely dependent upon the intensity being used vis-a-vis duration. It can be used while plugged in. My next task is to find a good external battery combination/set-up so it can be powered that way.The unit is all plastic and seems very solidly built indeed. I used to be wary of plastics . . . still am after a lifetime of everything metal, but this looks great. The barndoors work very well, and while they were a point of concern for me, less so now. A lot of cheaper lights have doors that are mounted permanently with pins/rivets . . . and with time they become "floppy" and pretty much a hindrance because they won't stay where you place them. Much to my surprise, these are actually held in place with tiny, and I mean teeny-weeny, itsy-bitsy real small, tiny screws and nuts . . . if you intend to fiddle with those, be sure you do it over a white towel or over a tray, so when one of them escapes, it won't go too far. What it means though . . . is that eventual slack can be addressed and adjusted. The barndoors are easily removed by just pushing down on the little wedge like bits and then sliding them out . . . snapping them back in place is just as quick, if not more so.All in all, it seems to be a great little light. Exceeded my expectations. Now I just have to wait and see about the durability/longevity . . . judging by what I have in my hands, I think it will be pretty good.Price is fair. A nice portable unit that ought to find a lot of use.
