As another user has commented, it is very difficult to attach the fins without breaking them. One of mine broke, but it is holding (for now). Again, this unit does not have the relaxing motion of the blobs, it's more like watching glitter in a blender, sometimes feeling a little "frantic" with the fast spinning glitter and the color changing lights. There is a small vortex which is always visible at the top of the tank, much like a blender. I still like this piece, it has a cool look and it was inexpensive. Please keep in mind that you will need a USB power supply, one is not included with the lamp.

Bought one, it didn’t work within days. Ordered a replacement. The replacement stopped working quicker than I could return the first one. Now I’m returning 2 within 2 weeks. Bummed.

This lava lamp is great because it actually works - the wax inside floats up, cools and falls to the bottom, and then repeats the process. The colors look great too.

Love the retro, sort of mcm atomic look of this lamp. When you turn it on, it initially it cycles through the seven different colors, but By pressing the button on the bottom you can change the color (red green silver purple blue etc) and it will stay on the one color. The glitter is quite eye catching, may approach over stimulation for some people. The colors are quite vibrant.

The slots the plastic legs fit into are all different sizes but don’t correspond to the actual leg pieces causing you to have to exert a fair amount of pressure to get them locked in to the lamp. We broke one while installing it, which is a major bummer for a kid on Christmas morning. I’d contact the seller directly but can’t find a means to do so.
