This was a total impulse buy, inspired by how much fun my daughter has had with the light-up frisbee I got her for her birthday. That thing is awesome, and I figured this baseball might offer the same kind of backyard, after-dinner fun.It definitely lights up and is easy to see in the dark, but it’s not quite as exciting as I had hoped. And unlike the frisbee, this thing can actually do some damage if it’s not caught cleanly. The first night went fine, but the second night didn’t end so well. My daughter took one right to the forehead, and it turned into a bit of a disaster. It wasn’t really the ball’s fault (my son was the one throwing it), but she's never missed a catch like that before, even during normal play. So I do think the nighttime conditions and weight of the ball made things riskier.It probably won’t get much use going forward, partly for safety reasons and partly because the frisbee, what we now call the "space frisbee" has become the favorite. That thing is way more fun and a lot safer. So, while this ball is a fun concept, it just didn’t work out for our crew.

This light-up baseball is actually pretty impressive. It’s well made for what it is—definitely not some cheap plastic toy. I gave it to my 12-year-old brother and he really likes it. The lights are bright, colorful, and you can switch between color modes depending on the vibe.One of my favorite features is that it automatically turns off when it’s been sitting for a while, which helps save battery. Smart design touch.That said, it’s still an electronic item, so it’s not built for rough play. Don’t chuck it at a wall or try hitting it with a bat—this isn’t a regulation ball. But for tossing around at night or just messing around, it’s a fun little gadget that adds a cool twist to backyard games.

This light up rechargeable baseball has become a summer must have for us. The baseball is a good weight, the stitching is near perfect and the baseball is easy to recharge (but so far it has held a charge very well and has only needed charged once with semi heavy use). What makes this ball one of my favorite Amazon finds is, in the summer we are usually tackling a project or working in the yard a lot of times right up until dark. This light up baseball is not just great for the kids to play with in the evening but also great for us to play catch or even a short late evening pop up game. The baseball is bright enough to easily be seen at dusk or a little after and these short baseball games and playing catch with the kids has now become my favorite part of the evening.

Charges easily and I love that you can have it go to different colors. Stitching appears done well. I can't make out if the material is cowhide or if it is a synthetic leather. I know either one of those are very durable and so far this ball has shown that it is. It's gotten bounced on the ground on concrete and it seems to be holding up well. Fun that you can play with it at night or even display it during the day. The kids are enjoying this I am too. Lots of fun for the money you pay.

This thing is freaking cool. Only downside (that's not worth docking it a star) is you can't hit it with a bat. Lights up reallt well. It comes with a charging cable, and outside of the charger cover, feels just like a real baseball.

The LED feature works and looks great for a game of catch but the outer material is pretty flimsy (it is definitely not leather or anything similarly tough usually used on a ball) and easily damaged if it hits a hard surface or is deliberately peeled by a six year old (as was the case in my pictures). Switches colors and has a mode that changes color every second or so too, which is also cool.

The light up ball is super fun. The light up baseball is so cool and the charge lasts forever. My kid loves it so much!!
