I was looking for a set of license plate light assemblies for my 97 OBS pickup. Hands down they are super bright and look good with my chrome bumper. The only complaint I have with them is I had to file down the location tabs for the to fit in the holes in my bumper. Other than that they are good replacement for the stock housing.

EDIT: The right-side light malfunctioned within 24 hours - currently in communication with the seller to see if they'll send me a replacement. Will update on their Customer Service and the resolution as soon as I have it. 01/30/2025I ordered this product as one of my license plate lights had fallen off. The outer casing that is had fallen off. The lightbulb was still there. I replaced the one and loved how it looked so much I replaced the other one as well. They are very bright, and they connect easily. You do have to put some pressure on the light to get it to snap into place once you have put it in the slot.I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Installed on a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe!

Overall these are great. They are really bright, easy to install, and maintenance-free. I installed them in a 1998 Chevy K1500.Pros:- Easy to install- Super bright- DurableCons:- NoneInstallation tips:- Use a bit of di-electric grease on the electrical connections to prevent corrosion. This isn't a flaw in the product, but something that should be done with automotive electrical connections especially those exposed to the elements.- A bit of grease of vaseline can help install them into a tight-fitting bumper. Wipe away the excess when finished.About the 1 Star reviews...Many 1 star reviews stated these flickered, or failed, etc. I had the same experience with an earlier pair, but thats because there was a problem with the alternator in my vehicle. Remember, these are being installed in 25+ year old vehicles, and if the electrical and charging system is not in good order it can cause problems with electrical components. LED lights can be more sensitive to that and can fail more easily. Its very likely that the 1 star reviews that state those types of issues actually have something wrong in the vehicle's electrical system, and not a flaw in this product.Overall these are great value for the money. I'm really happy with them and I'd buy them again.

The mounting tabs are a little big but that is easy enough remedied with a file and a few minutes effort. You will have to shave the tabs on one side at least, but once you do installation is pretty straight forward. Very bright and seem pretty sealed so far. If you think your retaining clips won't survive removal or are missing already, I recommend getting some as well because they are not included. over all these lights are as advertised.Edit: over a year later and still working great. In truth, these lights are brighter than my reverse lights and I use them more.

These lights work almost too good! Very bright and very simple to install. I read reviews before I bought them of how they had to be filed down to fit, but they don't. You just have to make sure your socket is clean and push them into socket with a little force, (which is good), so they tight in the socket and secure on the contacts. I bought the chrome ones and they fit tight into the bumper. They probably wouldn't fall out without the clip, not included, but put the clips on and you're done. I've had them installed for a couple days and I'm happy so far. If that changes I will update my review. Hope this helps.
