As a new Leatherman Wave user I wanted to design a sheath that is ideal to carry my Wave and its compatible accessories. Now, from Long Island, New York, Perilogics is proud to bring you another addition to our holster lineup. The custom metal belt clip has a 90-degree fold to help prevent your sheath from falling off your belt. The optional belt loop can fit a 2-inch wide belt easily. It also significantly reduces wear and tear over time.

We recognize there are many multi-tools out there. That’s why we created a sheath that is “Universal Enough” to accommodate several tools of various sizes. For the cover, we decided that using a strong magnetic cover is the way to go. Unlike traditional self-adhesive or button closures, a magnetic closure provides you the flexibility to adjust its height by sliding up or down to close up nicely with different tools.

6

For the accessories, we considered commonly used items and narrowed it down to the most essential items like bit sets, an extender, a mini flash light and pen. We designed three elastic pockets for these items. Note that one of the side pockets is closed at the bottom to carry objects like a bit extender, fire starter kit or a spare battery. We hope this new sheath will serve you as well as it does for me. Should you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

My old sheath and worn out from use and age. The Velcro no longer held, The snaps I installed wore out twice. I like how this new sheath has a magnetic clasp. The Gerber Center Drive Multi-tool fits comfortably, is easy to extract for use and easy to store, the cover held securely with the magnet.I haven't fit anything into the side pockets yet.

This sheath is absolutely the best way to carrya leatherman Surge. Both bit kits and the extra saws fit behind the surge and the driver extension is securely held in the side pocket. On the other side is another pocket that will hold a flashlight (when I get one). The best part is the belt clip. It's really sturdy and does NOT slip off, yet it's easy to take on and off your belt when you want to.The front flap is secured with a magnet that keeps it shut until you need it (that flap is also kind of a fidget thingy 😄).

I have been looking for a replacement sheath for my Gerber Center Drive as most sheaths won't fit the thing. If it does fit the tool, generally it is like wearing a small fanny pack on my hip. The weird thing I could not have predicted is the very square shape keeps it from hanging up on things in my van and my car. This is a game changer for me. The old sheath that came with the center drive had hook and loop failure quickly and the shape snagged on things more that I would want. The Perilogics square shape seems to deflect or push things out of the way. The magnets are strong enough, no complaints yet. I am too old and too fat to need to run much, so the tool has been staying put nicely. Good sheath.

If you happen to own a leatherman and your case is worn out this is just right for you it has a magnetic style hasp for keeping it closed which is very convenient for when you need it and is strong enough to keep it closed through most and activity I couldn't be happier with the purchase of this product

If your looking for something to get your Leatherman and etc. all in one that is not a fanny pack or tool box this fits Leatherman bits perfectly even the ex-saw/ file and with and magnetic closure for quick access if you have all that it the case. And you can add other items like flash light, pen, extension or rachet making overall design and functionality solid. Just keep in mind it is a belt clip and it does hold fairly well depending on how much you have in the case. Removal of the Leatherman or any tool takes time to break in, at first it is tight. Had this holster for over a year now it's solid.

Overall it’s a really good product. Magnet is strong enough to keep the opening flap down and in place until you need to open it. Seems to be really well made. Fits my Leatherman utility tool, and leaves extra space for more items if needed. Belt clip is very sturdy. Both elastic pockets on each side are nice and tight so nothing will slip out. The one thing I dislike is you have to open the top flap to access your tactical flashlight/sharpie from the side pockets. Most times I can get the sharpie out without having to open the top, but my flashlight seems to get held up a lot when I go to take it out without opening the magnetic flap.

I have a Surge that fits great in this case. Using another poster's suggestion, the foam filler piece that comes with the case is 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 5/8". That foam was recut to 1 1/2" x 7/8" x 5/16" (half as thick) so it covers the bottom of the case. That makes the Surge stick up about 1" above the case under the lid, making the Surge really easy to grab. That still gives plenty of frame so the lid holds firm. The two bit holders were reorganized so the bits I use the most are on one bit frame that fits easily in the inside bit pocket. The rachet bit holder fits easily on the side.I also have a Wave model. It doesn't work well in the holder designed for the Surge, nor is it supposed to. The Wave sits too far down into Surge case, even with the filler piece tucked into the bottom. This is an outstanding case and highly recommended.

I wanted to really like this sheath. It seems well-made, appears offer enough room to contain my Leatherman (Surge) bit kit, bit extender, saw/file sleeve, and my Maglite Solitaire LED. That said, my original Leatherman sheath (with the snap closure) did that as well. In fact, I even sized-down (to the medium) on the Leatherman sheath and it provides a much more secure closure for the Surge, since Leatherman refuses to move the snap button down just a bit to allow for a tighter closure. Anyway, back to this sheath - as others have mentioned, the two magnets are weak. They close well enough, but I doubt it is very secure out in the field. But what made me send this sheath back was I noticed the bottom of it is only one layer of nylon. The standard Leatherman sheath is a double layer. And, let's face it, when you're putting your multi-tool in/out of your sheath, it's hitting that bottom each time, it's resting on the bottom, and the bottom is a big stress point. If any area is going to fail (besides the back stitching by the belt loop), it's going to be the bottom portion. Additionally, the nylon also feels to be of a lower-grade than the stock Leatherman. It's a bit thinner, so, now, not only are you only getting one layer of nylon instead of two, you're getting a thinner layer of nylon. In feeling the overall build of sheath, this clearly feels like it's weakest spot (and looks it too). I've included pictures. This sheath is on the left (i.e., the one without the bit extender visible). You can see the one layer vs the Leatherman's two. Because of this uncertainty in longevity, and because of the Leatherman's clearly more durable construction (at least in this area), I didn't want to chance it on this one and back it went. But since I noticed the difference in layering/build quality, I wanted to make a review pointing that out for others. Take it for what it's worth. For me, however, it's a pass.
