No visible wear but after less than a week a few of the buttons just stopped working…. Disappointing for a $25 dollar childrens book

Cute book with great pictures and information. The print and overall quality is nice, but the audio is a bit much. It’s long and loud, and just poorly recorded. We still love the book, but we skip the noises.

This book is full of fun dinosaur sounds that delight my nephews when I read it to them. The book is also full of charming and colorful images of dinosaurs to go along with the loud and entertaining sounds. The book is made of durable cardboard, ready to stand up to toddler. A great price for a book that will keep your young ones entertained for hours on end.

My little one loves books so much, especially when they make noise. And my husband loves dinosaurs so this is a win win in our household!

My son lives this book. The sounds are different than most. I like how the sounds state the dinosaur name so you know how to pronounce it properly.

What I love about this book:The information about dinosaurs is great. The book is solid and sturdy and it's easy for our grandsons, ages 2 and 4, to turn the pages. The pronunciation of the different dinosaur names is excellent and our boys mimicked the narrator's voice, learning to pronounce the names properly, which in some cases were 6 syllables or more! The illustrations are detailed and large enough for kids to see the variety in dinosaur species. The boys love the book. What I don't like about this book: the roaring dinosaur sounds that happen after the narrator says the name of the dinosaur and a little nugget (like, Hello, I'm the King, I'm Tyrannosaurus Rex!" are interminable. They last for 15-20 seconds. It's very loud. It would have been nice if the sounds were shorter and quieter. We are leaving this book at a second home / mountain cabin and the boys will enjoy it when we visit there together. I wouldn't want it around on a daily basis.

The video online is very accurate. This is a perfect book for kids and parents who are just getting to know dinosaurs. I never got interested in them as a child, and so I only know how to pronounce the names of the major dinosaurs. We also have an Osborne lift-the-flap book on dinosaurs, but it includes a lot of pictures of dinosaurs that it doesn't categorize. This one provides great deals and data about dinosaurs while also providing a short statement to help you remember the dinosaur and the dinosaur's name. Then, the text helps to explain what the name means, so you read that while the recording is going on. We're just getting into Dinos, but I wasn't able to accurately pronounce the names at a natural history museum we just went to. When we hear the names, both kiddo and I practice pronouncing them so it's good speech practice, too.One nice thing is that an individual recording will stop if you press another button, so that they are not all going on at the same time. Another nice thing is that there is an on-off button in the back, so you can turn it off when you don't want to hear the roaring anymore. The recordings do add a lot of cache to the book, and it helped calm my 4 YO down in a disregulated moment while we were putting dinner together.
