The thread colors are nice, and the thickness is perfect for embroidering on dish towels, bags, etc., which is what I use this size thread for. However, it's not the softest and tangles extremely easily (which is frustrating). The needles are awful. They are dull. I just threw them away. However, I would purchase it again for what I use it for, but I wouldn't use it on a quality project (such as a wedding gift, etc.).

The thread colors are nice, and the thickness is perfect for embroidering on dish towels, bags, etc., which is what I use this size thread for. A pesar de que las bolas son muy pequeñas, son de buena calidad, tienen unos colores hermosos, vienen con mucha variedad y se sienten muy suaves al tacto, vienen con unas agujas adicionales lo cual lo hace muy completo.

I was worried about the strength because I use it for quilting, but I was unable to break it, so I'm very happy about that. It's slightly fuzzier than the typical retail embroidery cotton (perle) but not noticeable unless the two types are side by side. I wouldn't use it for a satin stitch embroidery, but for decorative crazy quilt seams or cross stitch embroidery it's not an issue. I saw a couple of reviews that complained about orders being really heavy on one color or another, but I think those must have been aberrations: I got a great mix. Really, this was a terrific price for a large variety of colors and the only thing I can find to complain about is that you don't get Amazon's regular two day shipping. (Mine took 5 days)

I’m a beginner at hand quilting so decided to grab this 48pc kit to get things started. I was a little sceptical about whether or not the colours would run so I did a white test swatch and threw it in the washer and dryer. The colours didn’t run!

Colors are most certainly NOT what is shown here - most of the ones I got were muddy browns and muddier greens, with a couple of pinks and a LOT of yellow. No black, either - although I did get a white, an ecru, and a half dozen pale yellows and blues. Thread isn't mercerized, but didn't say it was, and I like the matte finish for filling in larger areas. Decent quality thread, if sometimes a bit chopped up - I'm winding it to spools to avoid it tangling and falling apart in balls, and some balls have three or four separate pieces wound on to it - fine for me, but if you are knitting or crocheting with it I'd pass.
