I LOVE this mic! It captures lows and highs beautifully! Great for classical guitar and voice! To me, it seems transparent--no weird artifacts like one finds in other relatively low-priced mics! I would definitely purchase again...great value! Thanks, Lewitt!

Honestly such a great mic. I was impressed by how clear the vocals came out even though I have a pretty loud noise floor.

Just a little background - I have been recording for 20 years, and have been lucky enough to own some incredible gear over the years.Mics owned:Neumann tlm 103Neumann tlm 104Akg 214 - currentAkg 414Studio projects c1Studio projects t3Lewitt 440 pure - currentLewitt dynamic - currentWarm 47jr - currentI personally find the sound quality of the 440 pure far superior to the Neumann tlm 103, it's much smoother with a similar level of detail vs the 103. Comparing it to a buddies u87ai, it's so close in terms of clarity and richness that it's hard to justify spending 8x on a mic you can get as good or better results with a touch of eq or comp. Don't sleep on these lewitts, I just ordered a couple of their dynamic mics to try vs my sm57's to see if those can compare or best the Shure dynamics the way their condensers have blown the doors off any other equally priced mics.

It’s not a Neumann but for a couple hundred snd change it’s great for overheads on drums, some vocals and awesome for clean guitars / acoustic.
