Helps to decrease stepping in hairballs. Facilitates more normal BM’s. A bit pricey.

Seems to be the only hairball treatment that my cat will take willingly. Because of that we've been using it for years. More expensive than other brands but since it works, it's worth it!

My cat was having some difficulty with his bowel movements and this does the trick. He seems to like the test as well so not difficult to get him to take.

For me and my cat's experience, this is a wonderful product.It is so good for him I have already ordered another tube of it and will continue to use it.When I first tried it, or rather when my cat first tried it, my cat had been constipated for a week. Vet was very concerned and thought he needed ER visit during a weekend. My cat hates going to the Vet and to try and keep him from being traumatized at going to an ER on the weekend, I had researched this item, saw the great reviews, and decided to give it a try. The first tube arrived on a Sunday and I was thrilled. I gave it to my cat based on the directions, and within an hour he went to the litter box and had a perfect bowel movement. My Vet thinks that was just a coincidence, but I don't think so.I still took him to the Vet though on that Monday though so that he could be examined because of the constipation prior to giving him this. He was still a just a little constipated at that time and had IV fluids to help with the constipation. But instead of having further medical probing, I decided to bring him home and start a routine of giving him this product. It worked perfectly for us. Within a week, and after several days of bowel movements he was feeling great again, and up and playing and happy.I have since been giving it to my cat exactly as per the instructions on box and he now has a regular bowel movement every couple of days which is completely normal for him. And my cat feels wonderful and has not been constipated again. And he loves the taste. As soon as I open the box that the tube is in, my cat comes running for it.To help myself make sure I give him the doses exactly as noted on the box, I give it to my cat on the same days of the week. Has worked perfectly for us. We have been using it now for almost two months, three days a week.NOTE: This was just our experience, someone's else experience may be different, but I am thrilled it worked for us, so is my cat. Meow.

Really impressed with this product. My cat has had issues with constipation her whole life - we do a nearly 100% wet food diet, I’ve tried tons of things to increase water intake, and she still does a lot of straining and they’re always hard round pellets. Occasionally she gets two hard pellets stuck side by side and is in immense pain trying to get them out. A few weeks ago that happened again and she was crying and pacing for hours on end. I was scared we were gonna need a vet trip and an enema. She eventually passed it but I finally decided she needed some extra help.I bought this and started giving her about a 1” strip daily. She loved the flavor which is kind of rare for her. We added this plus even more wet food mixed with water.I didn’t see anything immediate - I was almost expecting a sudden effect but after about a week, I cleaned the box and saw an ENORMOUS poop that was smooth and solid. Like, 5-6” long. The next day she had TWO of those.It’s clearly having a massive impact on her - using the bathroom much more regularly and healthier results. Her energy and mood seem significantly improved as well.I feel guilty I didn’t look for something years ago to help her out. We’re sold for life.

My tiny, toothless 22 year old chihuahua can only eat puréed veggies+turkey+chicken broth and bolstered by liquid vitamins. Since he can no longer eat any roughage or take walks which he needs to help him have movements I’ve had to turn to other ways to help him with his problem. Lax’aire has helped him to some degree. I must use it more often than recommended to get him to have a movement, which still is only around every other day, but I am relieved to even have that for him. I am careful not to overdue the amount because of his weight; but I can say when he does have a movement it is larger and softer than the tiny hard pellets he was straining to expel before Lax’aire. Not the perfect cure but does seem to help to some degree making his life more comfortable.

This product seems to work SOMETIMES. When it works, I love it. Sometimes it seems to do nothing. My cat does like the flavor but gets tired of it. I have purchased several different products so I can mix days to use this. I gave it four stars because like I say that when it works I love it. Then main drawback is when you do put it on the paw....she (like any cat) tries to flip it off her paw and it hardens like a rock. I am afraid of what it is doing in her gut if it doesn't work. I now put a dose on her soft food with a little water added to it and that seems to do the trick. Good luck with this and it is a good product if you find the correct way to use it.
