It feels the the screws are made of aluminum.The reason I like to post this comment is that while the latch works fine, you need to use other stronger strews or not to use the power tool. Even if I set the torque of the electric driver to the lowest, the screw snapped inside of the hole, as a result you will not able to reuse the same hole.

I use these on a hatch on my boat. But they eventually rust. Have to replace every couple of years. It’s still a good bang for the buck

The design of this latch makes it difficult to operate. There is not enough space to fit your finger to get leverage to flip the latch. It also does not stay open. The spring keeps the latch in closed position. I dislike the design.

Bought for the ottoman i built. The links have enough swing radious to fit on the over hang of the lid.

Used these on a plastic case holding my socket set. They replaced the plastic tabs that used to keep it closed. Now I don’t have to worry about my sockets flying all over the place when I pick up the case.
