If you're like me, you've seen some similarly shaped tactical and EDC flashlights out there that made this NinjaPlusOX Laser Pointer instantly attractive to you. It looks portable, it looks comfortable to hold and carry, it has a light, a laser pointer, and a compass, what's not to love?!?!To be clear, this unit will not replace the capabilities of a tactical flashlight, but it is a superb laser pointer that happens to have a light included. And, yes, it's portable, it's comfortable to hold and carry, and the systems operate well.Performance:- The laser has 3 brightness settings, and all three adequately beam long distances. I did not test the 500m claims, but at 100 feet across my back yard, I could see the dot, even in daylight.- The flashlight is roughly the brightness of your smartphone light, with a throw that creates a 12 inch circle at 3 ft distance.- The laser battery life is great. The button must be held to keep the laser on, so you do not risk overheating or accidental eye-flashes with the unit, but also means that you use the laser for short bursts at a time.- Battery life for the flashlight is respectable. The unit depletes from 100% to 0% battery in approx. 3.5 hours, but it continues to softly glow until approx. the 5 hour mark.- Using a common 5V 2A USB charger, charging is just over 1% per minute. A full charge from 0% to 100% took an average of 95 minutes.- The compass appears accurate within acceptable variance. There are three aspects to this device that I really like:1. The sturdy aluminum casing feels strong, so I am confident I won't wreck the device in my normal day-to-day operations.2. The master on/off switch gives me confidence that I won't accidentally turn on the device while it is in my bag or pocket.3. The two operation buttons work very well together, it is very easy to maintain your hold on the laser button with your thumb, then rock your thumb back to click the light button to change laser brightness.I want to say this again, if you need a versatile flashlight, this isn't it, but if you need one of the most comfortable, easy to use, and versatile laser pointers around, this is a great option.---In images:- Retail kit, with wrist strap, documents, and charging cable- Battery life results for continuous flashlight usage- Device with view off all buttons and ports- Laser at level L1- Laser at level L2- Laser at level L3- Flashlight- Flashlight comparison with similarly-priced single-LED flashlights

I needed a laser pointer for presentations, but I also wanted something with a bit more functionality. This $26 laser pointer with a green light, flashlight, compass, and display screen? It's been incredibly useful in so many situations!**The "Illuminating" Points:*** **Bright Green Laser:** The green laser is incredibly bright and easy to see, even in a well-lit room. It's perfect for presentations and highlighting key points on a screen or whiteboard.* **Built-in Flashlight:** The flashlight is surprisingly powerful for its size. It's come in handy during power outages and for finding things in my bag.* **Handy Compass and Display:** The compass and display screen are great for outdoor activities. I've used them for hiking and camping, and they've been surprisingly accurate.* **USB-C Rechargeable:** No more fumbling with batteries! The USB-C charging port makes it easy to recharge the laser pointer, and the battery life is excellent.**The "Dim" Points:*** **Slightly Bulky:** It's a bit larger than a standard laser pointer, but the extra features make it worth it for me.* **Can Be a Distraction:** The multiple functions can be a bit distracting if you're not careful. I've accidentally switched to the flashlight mode during a presentation a couple of times.* **Durability Concerns:** The plastic casing feels a bit flimsy. I'm not sure how well it would hold up if dropped.* **Limited Instructions:** The included instructions were a bit basic. It took me a while to figure out how to use all the features.Overall, I'm really happy with this multi-functional laser pointer. It's been a lifesaver in so many situations, from presentations to outdoor adventures. While it has a few minor drawbacks, the versatility and convenience make it a great value. If you're looking for a laser pointer that can do it all, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

This is an very good laser pointer for indoor use. It's compact and sleek, and the buttons are easy to locate by feel. The charge level indicator is a very handy feature to avoid showing up to conduct a presentation and finding that the pointer wasn't adequately charged. (The indicator switches off about three seconds after switching on either the light or the laser. It looks "professional;" the smooth grey anodized finish is very nice. For outdoor use, especially in daylight, the highest beam is not readily located at distances greater than about 100 feet. We use a laser pointer when birding for pointing out birds to other folks and to point to limbs and locations in trees when we're pruning or cutting. This brightness of this one is marginal for those uses.I reduced two stars from the rating for two reasons. The description claims that "green laser has a projection distance of up to 500 meters..." Even on the darkest night, that seems impossible. Second, the laser beam is not aligned with the body of the pointer. The beam is directed about six degrees to one side. The photos show about 2" of displacement at 18". At a distance of 100 feet, the green dot would be about 11 feet to the side.
