While this won't replace my trusty tape measure I have found I reach for this first most of the time. It has a memory function that I find useful and it will even compute areas and volumes for you. Need a quick measurement for blinds? Fire the laser, save the measurement, take it to the store for reference so you don't forget.I love that I can measure from either the front or the back of the device. Having a live update is also wonderful if you are trying to find a specific measurement along a non-flat surface (say a wall in a very old home where you are mounting a projector), and being able to toggle to fractional inches is great too.As for the accuracy I trust it to a half inch so far, but I wouldn't trust it at anything finer than that.

I had to watch a few videos online on how to use this. Seems to focus more on SQ Footage rather than the point-to-point distance of a line. I'm still playing with it to figure it out. Wish it had better documentation.

The laser measuring device is amazingly accurate for the price and capabilities. Since it can be calibrated, it can be calibrated to be exact, although the advertisement says it is good to 1/8 of an inch, I found that I can make it spot on.The instruction manual was very explanatory and easy to understand.The build in angle measurement allows one to read the angle without pressing any buttons. All the functions were easily exercised and compared to known values to be accurate.The trigonometry functions were also tested and calculated to be accurate as wellIt comes with a nice belt mounted holder and a wrist strap. The only negative about this neat device is the wrist strap is practically impossible to thread through the mounting slot. I had to thread a piece of copper wire through first then hook the strap onto the wire, pulling the wire through in order to attach the wrist strap to the tool.This is definitely a very nice and inexpensive addition to my toolbox.

I have had so much fun playing with this without even really needing to use it. I could not find the directions how to change the measurement for meters to feet or inches, but was able to figure it out on my own by holding in the bottom button on the right hand side of the device until it got to the measurement I wanted. Makes measuring distance super easy.

At first I was a little concerned because I tried to use this and it showed nearly a half foot discrepency which uh... is kinda bad. However, after playing with it, the point of measurement button in the lower right shows a much more accurate reading when it's set to read from the exit point of the laser in the very front, as I was expecting.Now it seems to be reading, at least mostly as accurate as a measuring tape (which have their own problems if you get a low quality one). Overall, pretty happy to get at least a rough idea of measurements in your space, such as square footage.

Accurate and easy to use

I just love this laser measuring tool. I no longer need to have someone hold the end of the tape measure for me. This does far more than I will ever use. It is extremely accurate. The default unite of measure is Meters but you can change it. I have changed mine to Feet. I will use this mainly for single point measurements. The device can measure and calculate area and volume as well as doing trigonometric calculations. Like I said, far more than what I will need but for those that need or want these capabilities this tool will do it.
