Very high maintenance. If you’re a cook who uses her kitchen a lot, I’d skip this mat. It looked nice next to the sink for about 1 day, then it gets dirty and chipped. Yes, it dries quickly, but it also easily stains with coffee, wine, etc. I had to go back to using a silicone mat.

Works well and looked great when it was new but stains very easily. Anything other than water on it has created a stain that I haven’t been able to remove. If you can be careful enough to never place unclean things on it I’m sure it’s perfect

I’ve had this product for almost 2 months. I think I’ll go back to a clean dish towel on the counter. The stone is connected with a sheet of vinyl, there’s about 3/8” between each piece. When I’m ready to put away the dishes I’ve washed, the dishes are dry., but I can dump about a half cup of water back into the sink from the spaces. Then when I lift up the mat, there’s water on the counter and the back of the mat. I tried putting a dish towel under the mat, but it’s drenched in a day or two. As for the stains, if a drop of diluted coffee falls on the surface, it’s there to stay. I wish I had paid attention sooner, I would have returned it!

This looked great….until I used it. It stains very easily and quickly. Coffee, chocolate, anything that touches it besides water, even dish detergent stains it. It is not practical for a kitchen.

I use it to drain any dishes that do not go into dishwasher. When I am not in kitchen, cleaning people put out a dishtowel and put wet dishes on it. Before we had dishwashers, I learned that dishes put out flat will sour. This is a great place to drain the dishes, i.e., they dry and drain. It also looks nice on the countertop but will roll upto fit in a drawer. I am pleased.

The stone dishmat is sturdy and durable. It has a plastic bottom so water doesn't get on the counter. It's a nice size to handle a standard day's worth of dishes. This gives the kitchen counter an updated look. This mat definitely offers an easy wipe off. Another nice feature of the mat is that you can roll it up and put on the drawer. While this is possible, it's so nice so why not leave it out.

I love diatomaceous earth. I have a diatomaceous earth bath mat. A friend gifted me the dorai dish pad (diatomaceous earth again). I use diatomaceous earth with a duster to keep away bugs from my garden. It's awesome and it dries so quickly.I can offer my opinion of this mat versus the dorai (which appears to be the most popular type of these dish mats). Both mats fold up easily, but the problem with dorai is that the rubber parts holding it together get dirty over time. It's an inconvenience for me to take the rubber off for cleaning purposes. This one avoids that issue! I love it for that reason. It's also slightly larger than the dorai (and cheaper).
