I have a German Shepherd, or as they're affectionately known, German Shedders. I had a friend who is also a professional groomer tell me that the tools I was using weren't the best so she recommended I find something that would help to dislodge the undercoat to prevent as much shedding indoors. I spent much of my childhood around horses so I know how effective these brushes are for horse coats, and I'm pleased to say that it also works very well on my dog's undercoat. I use this to loosen the fur, then a tighter packed slicker brush to smooth everything out. Works great!
