First off I see a lot of reviews that say this is not translucent well they have different designs of color. There is a translucent pure black and one that is translucent light black. I think customers are purchasing the darker black which is not as translucent.It does come with stickers if you can't see the burners or buttons. I have used it a couple times now and have no issue of melting or burning smoke just keep it under setting 6 on the burner but every stove is different like if you biggest burner is 3600 watt then I would put the setting to 5 and all other burners have different sizes and wattage so read your manual to determine what wattage each burner has and you will be fine.This item is only for induction stove top it will not work on any other burners.This is why you are seeing very bad reviews on this item because customers do not read the description/title.I do recommend this product.

Fit to my new Induction glass top - trimmed for perfect fit - and I'm very impressed with it!Can see the "show thru" of were the burners are for proper placement of pans on the top.Used, and does what it says about protection from scratches and marks! Well worth the price paid for the added protection this delivers!
