I've had this teapot for four months. And for four months, everything was great - big, clear glass, seemed very solid and reliable. But...Today as I was pouring hot water into the teapot, the bottom completely shattered. Dumping near-boiling water and tea leaves all over the counter, all over me, and all over the floor. Very disappointing. Also, painful.

Great quality and performance. Large capacity. Easy to clean. Looks nice on my stove. The only thing I would change is the lid. Not a fan of the stainless steel or rubber. I would prefer glass.

If you like the stove top chai or tea in general, this one is a must have. Perfect size for our family. No leakage while pouring and so easy to clean either by hand or top shelf of dishwasher. The ones with the spout are a pain to clean so this design is definitely superior. Quality material as well. Highly recommended.

I use a cup heater underneath to keep the tea warm all day. Can make tea bags or loose tea in the microwave & enjoy in the same pot. Don't put the bamboo/metal lid on in the microwave! After microwaveing the water/tea, put cap on & use straining side or full flow side to serve. It holds about 8-10 cups, seems very durable considering it's glass. Very easy to use for tea, plain water & dispensing fluids works great. Use with a cup warmer underneath to keep warm all day. It was a bit expensive, but a great value considering the ease of use & beautiful design with functionality. I will purchase another one if & when it breaks. But it seems durable for glass. The teapot cleans easily & there's no taste from the glass, bamboo or metal.
