Great purchase!

It worked great for quite a long time, until I had unplugged it. And when I plugged it back in it all a sudden start to making a noise. I notice along the middle of it where the plug ins are that there was dust and I am trying to clean it out and hopes that it will stop making that noise and run quite gain.

I liked this when I first received. Started making strange noises and sometimes had trouble turning it on and off. Now it will not come on at all.

Doesn’t do a thing. Makes the sound of a cheap toy motor when plugged in; just creates a slightly metal-ish smell when plugged in doesn’t seem to filter anything.

Definitely improves air quality

Only worked for 3 weeks. Tried every fix and it won't turn on. Was very happy with it until this happened

I use this unit in a car.I only drive the car on weekends.The unit was working fine in the first 5 weeks.After that, the fan noise became louder that I had to turn it off.I was going to return the unit but it passed the returned window.So if anyone considers buying this product, this is a risk. So be aware.I saw a similar post before I bought the unit, but I thought it might be a once off but it is not.

Got this to help with air purification in my car. I drive a small car that already has a good cabin air filter, but wanted a little extra. Once I received it, I got it out and set it up in my car. Within about 5 minutes I couldn't smell any of the outside smells (it was summer so there were plenty). it's a bit noisy if the stereo is turned all the way down but or my purposes it was fine.Where it really shines is on long drives. My commute is half an hour every day and I honestly think I'm breathing easier by the time I get home or get to work. Once when I was driving home I drove through a construction zone and wondered how it smelled. Yes weird but I noticed I wasn't smelling anything even through they were laying asphalt. So the next day I checked by cracking a window as I passed through the zone. Sure enough, hot oil smell.So the fact that it kept that smell down in my car is good enough for me. Having a pass through USB port just makes it that much handier.4 stars only because I'm not seeing nearly the same effect in my wife's SUV, but it's got a cabin almost 3 times the size of my car, and my car is probably sealed up better. So it struggles in a bigger vehicle, but I can still tell it's having an effect on odors.

So ive used an hepa air purifier for about a year, it does ... clean the air from odors, smoke and dust,But: this ionizer provides a 'out sidish' kind of airNot only the odors and smoke are gone, but you feel as if you opened a window even in a close days in your car or at your window less office... its amazing, and you dont have to spend money on filters for about 5 years!Whats not to like... that it have no batteries? But you still have the ability to charge your device via the usb port and you still can operate the product via power banks...impressive!At the few first minutes of use on a dirty air, it produces some noises... but nothing more than 3 minutes... nothing to be worried about.Edit: after several months the air purification IONs is too much and only if i open all 4 windows for 15 minutes, i start to smell the natural seat's leather and perfume.. Something is weird in the air its produces. Its feels like it's not gonna fade away soon from the environment. I'm stopping the use of it.

I bought it for my car because I don’t like inhaling pollution, while I’m driving. It makes such a huge difference.!!! The air is amazingly clean, and so easy to breathe! So I bought the same one for my bedroom and it works perfectly. In fact, I have another air purifier where I need to wash filters, and I’ve noticed that since I’m using this little device, my other air purifier never gets dirty at all! I used to wash it every month and it was dark water coming out of it. Since I started using this little device, my other filter is always clean, but I still use both just in case. I’m going to buy another unit for my living room. I live next to construction in the building so I run air purifiers nonstop . so far this little device works perfectly for my car and for my bedroom. Such a difference in the quality of the air when I’m running it. highly recommend.!

Although unit emits a nice neutral light ozone smell the unit is somewhat noisy. Noise sounds like electric motor has damaged or missing bearings.I would have returned it for another as it emits a nice smell and reduces odor well but excessively noisy but I disposed of packaging to try another one to see if just a defect.

Have you ever gone to pick up a burger and fries and you get home and your whole car smells like it? You either leave your window cracked to air it out or the next is smells like old burger and fries! With this purifier running while driving home it will remove most of the smell. It won't remove it all since you still have your food with you, but it'll be all gone soon after on your next drive. Sure, you can use an air freshener, but it'll just mask it - now your car smells like pine scented stale hamburgers.I got this air purifier because it was an ionizer and not HEPA. I didn't want to have to deal with having to find and change filters. It is easy to setup, just plug one end of the USB cable into the unit and the other into the USB port in you car. Push the top power button. That's it. It has two speed settings. On the low setting, you an still hear the "fan like" sound from the unit. It is not loud and annoying, but I would prefer it to be quieter. It doesn't have a rechargeable internal battery, so I will only run while you car is on or in accessory mode. This feature, along with a timer function, should be considered for this model or an additional, higher priced model. This would allow for the unit to run for a certain number of minutes one the car's power is cut to filter any remaining odors - essentially removing the stale burger scenario.This purifier fits nicely into your car's cup holder. The air inlet is about half way up the length of the cyclinder, which is smart because the bottom part is of the cylinder is in the cup holder, right. I've seen some of the HEPA type car purifiers where the air inlet is in the bottom yet is is stuck in a cup holder. I guess they need the top area to house the replaceable HEPA filter. That means that they are just sucking a limited amount of air that is restricted by the sides of the cup holder. For the Lapurifier, it is unobstructed unless your cup holder are unusually deep.*Just to set expectations, this will remove odors that are temporary, not where they have permanently set into your vehicle. So, if you spill milk and your car smells like spoiled milk. . . The answer is no, it will freshen the air, but since you didn't clean the spill real good, it's still going to stink. Another case, you left your window open and it rained, you didn't try to towel out the water and dry it good and now it smells like mildew. Well, again, this will help with freshening the air while you drive, but it's not going to solve your problem, which is the underlying mold needs to be killed. This isn't a miracle worker.So far, the unit seems to be working well. I do have to unplug and put it in the glove box in order to use the second cup holder, but that's a minor inconvenience. My car smells nice and clean without having any overly scented air freshener effect. Thumbs Up on this purchase!
