I have been bringing a separate LED light with me when I eat breakfast in a restaurant using my laptop to do morning work before I get my day started after purchasing this jewel from Amazon, I have no need for an extra light, this is a USB connected light that clips on the top of my laptop screen. I was absolutely amazed by the brightness of this little light when I first turned it on it has options for various color temperatures and brightness options as well I could not believe how good this light was for the price that I paid for it. I highly recommend this light For anyone who needs extra task lighting while working on their laptop.

The light securely clips onto the laptop monitor and does not feel flimsy. There is a "cutout" portion for the camera lens, but a small section at the top blocks the lens view. The light can be moved to the side of the lens without issue. The light covers the entire keyboard but does not create a lamp effect for anyone else sitting or lying nearby. It is adjustable to shine more on the keyboard or the screen. There are ten levels of brightness and three color temperatures for personal preference. It has a soft carrying case to help prevent damage while traveling or storage. Recommended

I bought this keyboard light because I replaced my backlit keyboard with a non-lighted one. I bought the smaller version of this light for a laptop, rather than the larger desktop light. And rather than mount it on top of the display I wanted the light more concentrated and focused so I made a little bracket out of some scrap I had in my workshop. I used carpet tape to hold the light to the bracket.The power cord is about 25"-30" long (I didn't measure it accurately) which is plenty of length to reach a USB port on my desktop. You could always use a USB extender cable if you needed more length.I like the ability to change temperature color from cool to warm (there are 3 choices) and the ability to change the brightness (there are 9 levels of brightness). Another nice feature is it remembers your setting so when you power up your computer it comes on at the same color and brightness level you had. For the price I paid for this light I am extremely pleased with it.

This light bar works better than expected. I have a dark family room and light is not too great at night. Now, I can use my laptop that has a black keyboard with no problem and it helps my eyes a lot.
