New, out of the carry case, gauge reads 60psi at ambient pressure. I subtracted the 60psi from compression readings. Going forward, going to source a new gauge locally to replace the defective. Yeah i know...shouldn't have to. Gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because it was fast delivery.

First off I open the case and have the same issue as other reviews my gauge is stuck at 120 psi so this is unusable… the case is incredibly cheap. You’re paying for a hose and some connectors and a check valve…. Do yourself and order a name brand 0-600 or 0-1000 psi gauge as the gauge that comes threaded to it is unbelievably cheap… like really a winters gauge is 16$ cad on Amazon why do this… honestly with a bit of research you could probably build your own kit for half the price and be happy with it. Definitely would not reccomend at all

I paid double the price of a complete kit of other brands available to make sure of quality and reliability. Turns out the needle is showing more than a 100psi just out the box. Tried to release pressure that could’ve stayed from factory. Nothing to do to bring this needle down to 0psi. To add to this the case doesn’t stay latched. Really disappointing…

Brand new out the box the gauge was reading about 50psi or so. I tried putting air to it to see if it would zero when air was released from the bleeder valve… it did not. Aside from the gauge itself, the hose and fittings were great, no leaks, and it has the 5/16 quick connect fitting I needed for my other compression test tools. Couldnt find just the fitting anywhere, so ordered this hoping for the best. Just what I needed other than having to replace the pressure gauge now

I used this in conjunction with an OTC fitting for my truck. It worked perfectly and seems to be very well made like most Lang products I have used

I ordered this compression tester to check a 73 diesel, the quick connects, the test hose and the pressure release all worked fine but the gauge came showing 100 pounds. I tried to see if it would reset after pressure but always return to the same spot the gauge is defective. The rest of the tool looks great. Came in a nice box.I have contacted Lang for a replacement gauge and will update my review accordingly

Recieved in a nice case, Guage wrapped in bubble wrap inside the case. Verified 200psi dead on with the air compressor. Hooked it to the old 7.3 and gave me readings in the 400's multiple times with no problems.

Purchased this to do a compression test on a 2005 Cummins It comes with a nice quality plastic blow molded case. Some reviews stated the gauge that comes with the unit was not calibrated to Zero (likely due to being bumped in shipping) The unit I received arrived in perfect condition with the gauge still calibrated to zero, however as an upgrade at the time of order I purchased a higher quality glycerin filled gauge from amazon(Winters PFQ Series Stainless Steel 304 Dual Scale Liquid Filled Pressure Gauge with Brass Internals, 0-1000 psi) it's a nice $20 upgrade and makes the tool look way better while providing a more rugged gauge for longer service life. Be sure to tighten all the fittings on this tool when you change out the factory gauge for the upgraded one. The fittings on mine all required about a half a turn extra to tighten them up. I wish the manufacturer would have used this gauge from the get go I would have gladly paid more for the tool if it came with the upgraded gauge

So, get a tractor all tore down ready to do compression test. Buy special adapter to fit this tool. Plug it up, shrader valve leaking the entire time. Cant get good reading. Plain and simple it is machined poorly and the attempted to use a ptfe washer to attempt mask the issue. It's not leaking through the button but where it threads in. I am pretty upset. Absolutely no quality control and they knew about it and shipped it anyway. I have requested replacement.Update: New unit came in, shrader valve works fine but gauge came in reading 100psi. The gauge is junk at least the other part works. Just plan on getting a new gauge for it. Or buy a better quality tool.
