The piece of mind that come with this is awesome - you wont break it by accidentally over tightening the mount screws or dropping it.It's lighter in weight than a glass globe, so my old fans handle it no problem. I think there is even slightly let shaking from the fan, and definitely less noise.The only con is that the light that comes through this is dimmer than that of my glass globe (also opaque). But the light is better diffused and very easy on the eye. This globe is admittedly a tiny bit bigger than my glass one, so this could be why.

This is a great globe for our ceiling fan...Our old one was glass and broke. This one is plastic, but it looks like glass!!!!

Bought this globe to replace a glass ceiling fan globe that I had dropped. I did not want a bright white acrylic globe, but wanted to replace the frosted globe I had instead, and this one turned out to be excellent! Both the quality and the fit are excellent, and it blends in with the rest of the fan. (The only thing--unlike other reviews--my globe did not come with screws to screw it on the ceiling fan. Fortunately, I used the original screws that were already there, and they worked out fine.) Highly recommended!! Thank you!

This was the perfect replacement for my glass globe that broke! No worries about breaking it now! When I was researching these the local lighting shop gave me a website to purchase this at three times the price! This is a bargain!

It fit as expected, the rim on the globe is distinct enough for the screws in the fixture to hold. It’s exactly the same shape and color as the glass globe I broke, and if I accidentally drop this one, it won’t shatter. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Liked that it came with longer screws than what I had before. Made it more secure. Looks fine. Just got it so can't talk to durability but seems fine.
