THIS IS NOT FOR USE WITH URINE to test your iodine levels. They DO NOT say this exactly in the description which can be very misleading. With many leaving comments about urine testing this also misleads potential customers. YOU WILL NOT GET A PROPER READING WITH URINE. I wish the seller makes the comment you do as then they could be liable for False Advertising or Deceptive Selling.

Nothing but cheap little paper slips that don’t work. First of all it says to hold it in urine for 60 seconds, the urine goes up the paper and it’s impossible to do the test without getting urine on your fingers so you need gloves. And…it doesn’t change colors for anything. Even if you are not zinc deficient it stays the same color.

Not sure who is responsible for this items description, but it is not adequate or accurate. There is no mention of the quantity or range of these test strips. Do not go by the picture. The quantity on the vial in the picture is 200 strips. The vial I received had only 100 strips. The range on the vial in the picture was 12 to 100 ppm. The vial I received was 0 to 50 ppm. The strips are advertised as Lamotte, a well known name in water quality testing. The vial I received was from Precision Laboratories, who may well be a great company, it's just not what was promised. I don' know how well the strips perform as I am sending them back.

I bought these to test the iodine levels in my urine, but they didn't change color after following the directions. Not sure if they work, perhaps the item description should show this.

They work as advertised. I've used them in a food safety and sanitation testing capacity to help keep the public safe.
