I'm an installation carpenter and used to use biscuits pretty regularly. I recently needed to start using them again and tried every brand at the big boxes. The results were so bad that I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Was it my joiner? my technique? I asked google and found that many replies were stating that biscuit joiners are trash. Some replies simply stated "Use Lamello's".Long story short, big box biscuits (lol), are trash. They are made to be sold, not made to be used. Lamello's work!

They're fine, good quality, but no better than others I've used. Look for a good price and they're worth the money.

These seem very uniform and of a high quality with little variance in thickness.

Accurate and consistent biscuits. The best on the market that I have found. To my understanding, Lamello started the whole biscuit joining thing or at least were early developers so high quality should be expected. As a professional woodworker, I am very pleased with them.

I go through at least 3-4,000 biscuits per year so price differences add up, but I do need a quality product. The Lamello biscuits have replaced the 100 count jars from the box store at half the price and the quality is just as good. There are variations in size, shape, and thickness but it's not unique or problematic. It doesn't hurt that Lamello is known for other more sophisticated jointing systems using biscuits slots so simple wood ones are child's play for them. The positives...-Price is better than anything else I've found at $.04 half of most others.-The product does the job and is made by a reputable company with experience in this and more.-Well packaged and easy to transfer to working container/bin. I have seen other reviews saying they lost some but never have had an issue. I do use the Amazon packaging option when it's a choice as it gives more protection but haven't found any loose in the big box. I have no issues I wrap a giant rubber band around it and just fill a large plastic jug I keep on the bench.-Date coded boxes, made from sustainable forests and Lamello even provides product support including CAD templates.Negatives...- there is some fluctuation of shape, some with segments bitten out, sheared off or asymmetrical. It really doesn't matter in most cases. I run a #10 depth stop and #20 biscuits and it's still not jamming up when I adjust side-side.-Depending on jointer blade they can run a shade thin. This isn't always an issue, at times it's better, there are some that have a little more meat and can be tough to pull after dry fit. Lamello also has their own blades for their locking systems that it might be the difference. I've used Dewalt's stock blade and now have an 8-tooth CMT on it.-Wood seems harder than Freud or Ryobi there's not as much expansion. This is another no but yes kind of things where there's not always a static right answer to all.I will keep using them until I don't need them or someone else beats their price, even cheap overseas ones usually don't though. Good product, not perfect but within tolerances... It does the job as well as any other brand, there's support and the knowledge it's produced by a real company that has been around since someone thought of the concept and not a disposable brand name, and the price isn't just right, it's the best.

I've purchased biscuits before of a different brand and they not fit well. these are like wow. a perfect fit. Im building countertops for my home and used over 250 of this product so far and every one has fit perfectly. I was really impressed. I ordered a 1000 cause it was cheaper then buying 3 containers of 100. money well spent.

These are not the original Lamello Brand as advertised , the photo shows an original biscuit stamped with the word Lamello. They seem to be similar, a little rougher surface and they fit the prepped groove

See my photo - DeWalt on the left, Lamello on the right.I used calipers and measured the thickness of 30 each of DeWalt and Swiss-made Lamello plate joiner Biscuits. Lamello was 1000 for $46.37 from Amazon, which is 4.6 cents each. DeWalt was $7.98 for 100 from Lowes, which is 8 cents each. I calculated the mean and standard deviation of the thicknesses and the Lamello were more than 3x as uniform. 97.7% of Lamello are predicted to be between 3.69 and 4.00mm. DeWalt are 3.34 to 4.31mm. The goal is to be as close to 4mm without going over. Visually, the Lamello have a glue-gripping pattern on each side. The DeWalt had a more shallow grid on one side.

Product showed up on time but box was miss labeled and is #10's not #20's like it was supposed to be the funny part is the label on the box is right beside the pre printed box that says 10 I thought that was funny. I'll add picks. The quality looks good and I will try using them. I'll update my review based on how they perform.
