The rod for the stand was not in the box. Very long box so it could have been in there, once upon a time. Box looked immaculate for a 3ft box that was shipped 99% empty. Also saw that I'm not the first review that has mentioned this. Everything else is there. I have nothing to hold up with the base but it looks like it is a base for a laboratory stand. The rings look decent, clamps appear to clamp things. I would have tested the parts but it's difficult to do without the most important piece.

This is an excellent ring stand. Very sturdy and the 3 included attachments are most of what you need for general laboratory use. Corking on the inside of the clamp is helpful so as not to damage sensitive equipment (glass, cameras stands, etc. )We purchased 2 as these were the best value for price on Amazon.

The Centers of the Rings don't line-up, which I expected, and they aren't adjustable like to the Clamp is, the latter thus being what I had thought would be the case, and allows for an adjustment range the will allow it to set the Clamps Center to either of the Rings, the Small one or the Larger.

Is it as sturdy as I’d like? No, but I’m new to playing around with chemistry stuff and I’m relatively sure unless you spend substantial more money they’re all gonna be “not that sturdy.” For the money, though it’s done the job. If I start feeling more creative one day I will build one but for the price this unit is just fine.

Cheap stands but not high end. If you are not using the stand for something heavy, it works great. The clamps are not the highest quality and they tend to loosen with heavier items. The stand is very light and a topples easily with heavier items.
