I have a small home lab I do some biohacking in, and I needed some cuvettes for my Ultrospec 7000PC spectrophotometer. These are working perfectly, and at this price point I will be getting more!

Semi-micro quartz cuvettes are typically quite expensive, so I was not expecting a great deal from these cells but their performance was very good. They are well made and look like they should be sturdy over time, although I have only used them for a couple of days at this point. The attached scan shows excellent transmission of an empty cell vs. an air blank over a UV range down to 200 nm. The scan rate was 750 nm/min. Actually, this scan is a close match to what was shown by the manufacturer in their Amazon listing which obviously is not always the case with every product. The transmission observed was about 85% at 350 nm and dropped smoothly to about 75% at 200 nm which I believe is pretty darn good. The quartz windows are about 1.25 mm thick, so that is a total quartz thickness of 2.5 mm in the light path.The two cells in this order were well matched. Blanking samples with one of the cuvettes and reading in the other gave ODs that agreed within 0.002 or less. Overall, I was impressed with these cuvettes. At a cost of less than $100 for 2 cuvettes they are a bargain.
