The precision is spot on, down to 0.001g, making it perfect for my detailed work. The LCD display is clear and easy to read, and the windshield ensures that my measurements are always accurate, even in a drafty room. I also appreciate the ability to switch between different units like grams and carats—it’s super convenient. The build quality feels solid, especially with the stainless steel weighing pan.

This scale is absolutely for perfect if you need to measure the mass of anything specific. It is scientific grade and has far more precision than anything that I would really use around the house.I have used the scale for measuring coffee beans, and also some dry ingredients for cooking, but I know that is not the point of the scale. I just wanted something very precise in this thing does not disappoint. As far as the glass enclosure goes, it’s something that I don’t really need myself, but I am OK with having it just as an option. It is very scientific grade and would be great in any laboratory around, or for amateur use as necessary. The read out are also very clear and precise, so there’s no guessing as to what the mass of the object is. Plus, you can tear it or make the scale read out in different masses.

I built an LED bar out of metal, plastic and 3D printing along with all of the electrical, computer and miscellaneous parts that come along with that. At 48" long, this thing is pretty impressive and really bright. It's also really light- 14 pounds. That's smaller than most big cats! So this device helped me weigh a lot of different lengths and gauges of wire, sheathing, aluminum pieces and more VERY accurately. I wrote everything down in my journal. One complaint is it did take me a while to understand how to use this. I spent several hours tinkering with it to figure out all the functions and weight amounts on the display. It is a simple interface so between that and the manual, I was eventually able to get going on my own. It works pretty accurate, I compared some stuff on a milligram scale and it was getting that right.

I ordered this scale for buying/selling gold and the scale is great and accurate, but compared to other similar scales that do the job just as well, this is rather high in price at 235.99.

Great for teaching density in the classroom. It's accurate and easy for students to use, allowing them to take measurements and record weights, on their own, in their lab books.

When I opened up this balance, I was impressed. The plastic felt lab grade, the glass doors had soft edges, the stainless steel plate is well centered-doesnt wobble, and it takes up a nice small footprint. However, there are downsides to a cheap balance as well. The glass doors open smoothly, but are almost impossible to close. (Cheapo guide grooves). I didn't subtract a star though because everyone measures with one door open. With only 3 decimal places, let's face it, gentle air currents don't matter with 4 surfaces closed.Next, the tolerance. It's actually good where it matters. I did a very good job leveling the unit first. It comes with a 500g standard (for the 500g unit) this allows you to do a 2 point calibration (500g and 0g) if you happen to have a 300g standard, you can add an additional calibration point. However, the accuracy is only good at the low end of the scale. I have a 1g standard that always measured out at 1.000g. And this is really where you need the accuracy. But every time I measured over 100g it got bad. +/- 0.020g! I repeated my calibrations 10 times. On average, it was off +13mg, -2mg. Almost always high, rarely too low. At 1g, it was accurate to the 1mg 90% of the time. When it was off, it was usually about +2mg, never low. Every time I removed a standard, it returned to zero.Next, the manual. I assume if you're reading this, then you're a scientist. Good, cause you're gonna need to be. The manual is in broken English. And I received instructions for a different unit, telling me to press buttons that weren't there. But I figured out how to do a multi-point calibration without instructions.All-in-all, it's good value. And acceptable for high school chemistry, not industry.
