Bought at the same time as a pair of ThermPro digitals. This unit was even less accurate (but in the other direction), always reading in the low-mid 70s RH%. I tested the unit with a damp towel around it (as the directions suggested), and the pointer ended up way BEYOND 100% RH. I have a La Crosse digital kit for remote temp/humidity - the kit's been great, and those sensors seem accurate - but this analog item was just not worthwhile, despite the design.

The format of the dial is exceptionally easy to read at a distance given the large type face and color zones describing relative humidity.

Been using this about a year now. Works like it should. Easy to read. You just need to “charge” it first (and perhaps annually) with a slightly damp towel. I wish all my stuff worked this reliably.

I decided to buy this particular thermometer/hygrometer combo for an indoor greenhouse. I was very excited about finding a "quality" analog device for that purpose because many of the digital solutions seemed to have wildly varying reviews.Upon arrival, I noted that the packaging was very cheap. It wasn't encased in plastic for stability/protection - just loosely in its original cardboard display box. When I took it out, the hygrometer needle seemed to flop around, but I didn't know whether or not that was indicative of an actual problem. I sat the needle down on the kitchen counter and the hygrometer read ~5%. After about 20 minutes, it still read 5%. All local and national weather services showed humidity of >50% for my location and the windows of my home were open. I figured that maybe the hygrometer just needed calibrated as others have mentioned in reviews.I did the "wet towel" calibration method - took a damp (not dripping wet) towel and gently wrapped the hygrometer and left it for maybe 30 minutes. When I removed the hygrometer it was still stuck at 5%, so I decided to be patient and let it sit outside on the patio for the evening in case my indoor humidity was actually wildly low (or too low to bring it "back to life" after sitting in a warehouse).In the morning, it still read 5% so I decided to return it. Very disappointed because I was excited about the shape/size of this hygrometer. I'm not sure how it became defective, but if these are delicate then ordering online and having UPS toss these around on conveyor belts/trucks/my door step is probably not a smart way to get your hands on one with the kind of packaging they have.Back to the drawing board to find something more durable and reliable.

The device appeared to be significantly inaccurate both for temperature and for hydrometry out of the box. Temperature was constantly overestimated by 4 °F and humidity was underestimated by 15% during a "salt test". The device is primarily made of plastic, not metal, it is featherlight, and it looks fragile. It appears that the thermometer cannot be calibrated and instructions to calibrate the hygrometer are vague and confusing. I didn't try to re-calibrate the device and returned it instead.

The product works as described. The humidity gauge is so exact and its big arabic numbers are easy to read even from a small distance. The thermometer is smaller than what I expected but it works. I'm glad I ordered the English version because I did not "grow up" with the metric units (°C for temperature). Thanks for an excellent product!

It is wonderful I just had to adjust it at the beginning I did cover it with a wet warm towel for a few minutes,until it was set up.It shows the humidity and temperature very well.
