Installed these on my '93 240 Volvo and they work very well. Super happy with their performance so far!

These replaced a set of Bilstein Touring Shocks/Struts on my '92 Volvo 240. The Bilstein failed catastrophically, leaving a puddle of shock fluid on my garage floor after just 55k miles. I didn't want to pay double the price for more Bilsteins, so I bought these. When compared to the Bilstein, the KYB seem to be of equally good build quality. They are finished nicely and come with a new gland nut and top locking nut.I installed these along with new Moog outer tie rod ends a few weeks ago. My impression is that they offer a far softer ride than the Bilstein Touring shocks. Bumps and potholes are generally felt less and the car glides just a little more smoothly along most roads. Along with a softer ride however, they are less confidence-inspiring in long sweeping curves. The 240 is no sports car, but it's also not a floaty boaty Cadillac Deville. I wish the KYBs offered a firmer ride and better feel for the road like the Bilsteins did.If you want a soft ride, this is the option for you. If you want a little firmer and more controlled ride, you'll have to spend double the money on the short-lived Bilstein Touring option. These are made in Japan.

Although I did not end up using the items, they arrived much earlier than expected which was great. And they were packaged very well. Arrived in perfect condition. Only my mechanic realized changing out the cartridge was NOT my car's problem after all. But, I was very happy to find a great deal on Amazon. Opposed to twice that price at the local auto parts retailer. Thanks!
