This is not my first Safety Meeting, and I know what these are and how to use them, But these need some serious docs to support OSHA claim and provide safety information like: how to store, clean, maintain, and yes, use. Our lives depend on it.To the Point or TL;DRThese are decent, but not great leg relief straps made from nylon strapping and stitching with metal hook in one of the two containers that make up the entire system. It could use some documentation (literally any documentation), as it came with none. They are easy to deploy (you should practice), and I tested them before adding to my equipment and they held. I'm 190lbs plus 20lbs on any given day worth of equipment hanging off me.Some thoughts.I would sincerely hope Anyone that needs to own this device is getting Safety Instructions from their Company and Regular Safety Meeting.Don't use before you understand how to secure them to your person/equipment, train to effectively deploy, practice using them, learn to store, clean, and maintain. Please test these before your life depends on it. It's easy enough to test and worth the time.To the Manufacturer: Please supply some documentation to support OSHA claim and to guide us on the ins & outs of your product. Thanks. All the best, Just BenjaminReviewed: KwikSafety - Charlotte, NC - Marmoset Trauma Straps [2 Pair] Fall Protection OSHA Comfort Suspension Safety Device & Arrest System Attachment for Body/Legs Relief Compact, Lightweight, Quick Connect Cost: $36.98

I bought two sets of these trauma straps to go along with the two sets I already had for an upcoming Safety at Heights class. During the training I have the students raised into suspension about a foot off the ground and to see how it feels being in suspension then they deploy the straps and step into them and see the difference the trauma straps make. During this exercise we had three (3) brand new sets of the KwikSafety straps break.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't use theses for life safety. Maybe use them for training under controlled environment, but not when someones life is on the line. They look almost exactly like the name brand trauma straps but are not even close in quality. The students wearing the straps when they broke weighed 155, 190 and 205 pounds. There should be an instant recall on this product.. Lives are on the line

These types of devices can save your life if you fall in a fall arrest harness, they are designed to deploy so you have something to stand on whilst hanging and waiting for rescue so your weight isn’t on the leg straps. Without such devices you stand a very high chance of dying if you’re not immediately rescued as the pressure from harnesses on the arteries in your leg quickly create blood clots which will travel to your heart immediately upon being cut down/rescued. I’ve never seen such happen but know several people who have personally witnessed a coworker rescued to literally drop dead after only a few steps.…however, THESE straps come with zero instructions, something I would think rather critical in a life saving device! EVERYTHING has instructions or a manual now a days, but not these. Upon first inspection I though mine were sent incomplete as there was no metal hook at the end of the strap to hook into the small loops on the strap, so I submitted mine for a refund or replacement and started googling the device and others that are similar only to find that the two you get are not identical and they just form one big loop instead of having independent straps for your left side and right side as I’ve had in such devices before. Were there instructions I’d have known this right away instead of having to find it myself. I still am not 100% sure I’m correct on how to use them since there were no instructions provided for this specific model (nor any other), no mounting advice/precautions, no warnings, no maintenance/inspection instructions, NOTHING. I’m keeping them simply because I already have them and do not feel like driving to a UPS store to return them. ..they probably work, but again I honestly can’t be sure of that. I’ll likely be replacing them with a better style and better brand who provide documentation for their products, the document would inevitably go in my manuals drawer after I read it but I’d have already learned all I need to know about the device which I might have to one day rely on to save my life. Kwik Safety, you can do better!
