I ordered these specifically because I needed the open ends. Of course I received closed ends. Seller straightened it out but the part numbers seem to be messed up. Once I got the open end grips, none of the included throttle cams would work in my 2000 ktm. I was able to modify one to work but it required removing quite a bit of material. Next time I will probably 3d print my own cam. These are great grips, i love the lock-on, but they are not direct fitting for an older bike.

False advertising. NOT KTM and NOT KTM compatible. Wasted my money as throttle fittings do NOT work on KTM Freeride 350. Buy it if you want a couple of hours of frustration.

I’ve been riding since the 70’s (yes I’m super old). Removing and installing grips has traditionally been a task that required “tricks” like soapy water or heat guns or air compressors filling them up with air as you slid them on the bars before the air leaked out. These lock on grips dispense with all of that. They slide right on with NO EFFORT required and bolt down tight with one hex head fastener (on the clutch side—the throttle side no fasteners are required they are held in place by the throttle wire housing assembly). It makes switching grips so simple and so easy I wish I’d had them for all these decades.Warning: pay attention to the torque rating of the fastener (it’s hard to miss its stamped into the part) because if you try to over-torque the fastener you run the risk of stripping it. And I ride everything from motocross to enduro to hare scrambles and previously was a road racer and no, I’ve never had one of these lock on grips slip in use. Ever. And I ride >300 days a year still.Try them—you’ll like them. Grin

Nice not to have to cut the grip ends and trim for the throttle. Nice 1/2 waffle with a little extra waffle at the end of the grips. Fairly firm for durability, but soft enough for decent grip.
