This unit works with the clip that comes with whatever tape measures you already have. This unit allows easy insertion into a spring loaded clamping mechanism. It clicks in with a very positive feel. The tape measure won’t come out till you press the little latch at the top of the unit. It is a very smooth and natural motion to insert and remove the tape measure. The holder itself has a j hook at the bottom to keep it on your belt. Overall this is the best unit I have ever bought for keeping my tape measure with me. Others have knocked off to easy or were sometimes hard to get the tape measure back in the holder or needed a “special” gizmo added to the tape.

Estoy muy contento con el soporte sobre todo porque ahora puedo usar todos los metros que tengo.Antes usaba FISCO Big T pero se me rompían sobre todo las cintas y por el precio que tenian y tienen todavia me molestaba mucho cada vez que se averiaban.Ahora uso el metro que mas me gusta con el soporte y puede que el unico fallo que tenga es que al agacharme a veces el cuerpo acciona el soporte y la cinta se desprende cuando no esta ubicada al costado de la cintura.

This is a great, even better solution for keeping your tape measure on belt for your left or right hand, but be prepared to buy it over and over again because the holders inside are very fragile. This plastic mechanism that holds the tape measure is very fragile and breaks after a month. This is my third purchase and I understand that I work for these guys. I hope this review will be read by the manufacturer, and they will make a metal mechanism for reliable and longer use. Only three stars for now

Been wearing this for a week or 2 and it’s very nice. I pair it with my komelon 60th anniversary gold tape. This kit comes with 2 pieces to attatch to 2 different tapes. Very good bang for your buck! The plastic on the holder is pretty strong and it has a loop for something to hang. The tape comes off your hip easy and stays attatched. Cheapest option besides literally hanging it from a holder off your hip. This actually locks in. I love it. Daily carry just like my spider holster for my impact

Professional tradesman here. I had high hopes. Huge flaw in the design. The nubs that hold the tape measure in don't retract far enough, they physically cannot move in any further than the little bit it takes to get the tape measure in. If the nubs could move back to that they were basically gone it would be great. Took half my fingernail off cuz when it finally let go my finger caught on the underside of the metal plate.Also feels cheap and flimsy, probably only a matter of time until the clip mechanism breaks completely. Returned item after owning for 2 days.

Wish the belt clip was metal too, would pay for a pro version with that.The release mechanism seems designed well. I was able to add a second tape to my bag that used to always fall off.Would be a good product for anyone working heights and at a great price.

ALMOST Perfect! Of all the things I've purchased to KEEP my Tape Measure On my hip &/or have ease of on/off....this Could have been the Best one!Fell short only because the Screw from my Milwaukee Tape is Larger than the hole in the clip for this system. I used a countersink to make the hole a bit wider...but after a day...it Broke due to plastic being to thin after enlarging the countersink.It Worked BEAUTIFULLY for the Day!It comes with 2 tape measure clips, so hopefully I can carefully get Second one to work.
