+ Does a really good job of sorting mixed coins into coin-specific bins. I dumped a couple of thousand mixed coins into the hopper and ran them all through at one time. The only mistake it made with sorting was when two pennies that were stuck together were thrown into the $1 coin bin. Understandable. Hard to allow for that situation.+ Allows you to set up batch counts and will stop when the batch count for any coin denomination is reached. Just empty the bin and continue from where it left off and it will stop again the next time any coin reaches its own batch count.- The batch counts are unreliable. I only tested this with pennies with a batch size of 50. The batch would stop at 50 but the actual count was between 48 - 50. I did check behind to bin to make sure none had dropped outside the bin but never found anything. The count was just off.- You can only use the preformed wrappers to stack while sorting. I tried using the flat wrappers but they just won't work. I did find a notice in the instruction book that stated that preformed wrappers must be used. This particular machine just doesn't have the capability to use the flat wrappers.

I was so disappointed with this purchase. This machine does not count or sort the change accurately. I basically can only use it to help me separate change. It is big and clunky and not easy to store. Pity that I had a lot going on during the return period and now I am stuck with it. I would not recommend this purchase. There are smaller cheaper purchases that can do a better job! Definitely not worth the money !

I use this all the time. I’m a bartender and keep all my change and roll it every now and then for vacations, this machine is fantastic!!!

I had difficulty with the dime holder/slot. I’m not sure if it was the machine or the wrappers. But the dimes were always hanging up and I could not use a wrapper within the holder. Item returned.

After being told by my bank they no longer will count coins, I decided to unload my big plastic bin containing over forty years of coins. That task seemed SO tedious and boring... I kept putting it off until I saw the ad for this Kolibri coin counter. It's amazing! It adds up everything and sorts the coins into bins. After everything was completely sorted, I used the Kolibri to count out each denomination of coin again. It knows to stop counting for each wrapper! The wrappers I had weren't the best (old) so they didn't work in the coin wrapper holders. But, hey, this machine saved me a TON of work. Even after considering the initial cost, I still made money! My bank was happy to have the coins and I'm happy to start tossing my coins in my plastic bank again.

My el cheapo battery powered counter gave up the ghost and this replaced it. Wish I’d switched earlier - this unit is great. Accurate and fast; being able to set the quantity of coins that make up a roll is great. With the battery unit, it would take me 2-3 hours to sort and wrap $200-225 of coins. This takes about an hour. Two things of (related ) note:1) as others have said, it’s easier to let the coins sort into the tubes without wrappers in the tubes. It’s no trouble to slide the wrapper onto the coin stack once the tube fills and it keeps the coins from hanging up on the wrapper.2) however, there’s a slot cut into the bottom of each tube. Without the wrapper in place, the first few dimes in particular tend to bounce out of the slot. A carefully placed fingertip will prevent this.I also like being able to use a combination of bins and tubes. I don’t wrap pennies because of the time and cost of the wrapper for 50 cents. So I just use a large bin to sort the pennies into, dump that into a box, and every now and then find a Coinstar machine to unload the box.The only thing about the machine is that it is large - slightly bigger than a basketball.can’t store it on top the dresser any more, but I’ll take that in return to the improved speed and accuracy.
