The K-4899 qualifies as a high-efficiency toilet tank; its 1.28 gpf performance ability meets stringent flushing guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense program and can save up to 16,500 gallons of water per year compared with old 3.5 gpf toilets. The large 3-1/4-inch canister flush valve delivers water rapidly from the tank to the bowl, creating a power-jet action that consistently fully flushes the bowl. Tresham Warranty Information
Kohler’s Tresham products are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for one year from date of installation. Kohler Co. will, at its election, repair, replace or make appropriate adjustment where Kohler Co. inspection discloses any such defects occurring in normal usage within one year after installation. Kohler Co. is not responsible for removal or installation costs.

Out of the box, the flushing mechanism has had problems. Often one has to hold the handle to fully flush. The more aggravating issue is the lack of proper seal so that the toilet tank drains and refills repeatedly. I bought Kohler for quality reputation but am sorely disappointed.
